Lewis should have gave more room when he saw that Pastor wasn't going to yield on the outside, racing incident. Nothing more, nothing less. Gutted more for Maldo than I am for Hamilton.

You don't give room, you get taken out. Pretty simple, and Hamilton didn't apparently consider that.
 
Hamilton was fighting for his position as there was only a couple of laps to go. Can't believe Maldonado never backed off once off track, cost both Williams and McLaren loads of points.

Top 3 podium are all cover by Ferrari and former Ferrari driver! Bravo.

If the engine failed and it was most likely due to him pushing it too hard, it serves him right.

No one told him to build such a lead.

If the engine failed randomly then it is just bad luck.
 
You have to love how Ferrari are 4th in the constructors while Alonso leads by 20 in the driver's. Goes to show what Massa is not doing. Yes he had problems today, but regardless, he got beat by Pic.

So what if he had lost out?

And it was not that Maldonado wasn't given room, he was merely put off the track then elected to drive straight across to him.

Hamilton, what a fool. I was screaming at him to let Maldonado through - take the points, Pastor is going to get past anyway, don't risk anything. This is where you see Andy Latham and Hamilton's partnership being so inadequate. Had that been Vettel's engineer, Rocky, he would have been telling him about Vettel being out, and not to take any risks at all. 4th still would have been a great result in terms of the championship. Instead of Latham kissing his ass constantly, he should be feeding him information, useable information and advice, we know Hamilton isn't the most 'cerebral' driver, they should be doing all they can to get the most out of him. What a disaster :ouch:👎

What kind of racing driver _LETS_ someone through? Maldonado behaved like a moron. Any F1 driver with an ounce of cool and common sense would've realised he had ample opportunity to pass the man in front, especially given the difference in performance between the two at that moment. And then to drive back onto the road to shove Hamilton into the wall? He deserves to be Disqualified, at least.
