One good tournament and Rodriguez is worth £63 million pounds according to Madrid, that's how much they have paid for him.

Based on his goal scoring record at club level he doesn't look that impressive, could easily be one of those players that is ok at club level but awesome in big international tournaments like Klose.

Bit of a :scared: front line they have now. Throw in Nani and they will be unstoppable.:sly:

He's a playmaker, not a goal scorer.

So transfer news today..

Michel Vorm and Ben Davies are set to have medicals at Tottenham ahead of moves from Swansea, Swansea will be getting Glyfi Sigurdsson in return and he will have a medical there tomorrow....

Liverpool in talks with Atletico Madrid over a loan move for defender Javi Manquillo

Elsewhere Greg Dyke has compared FIFA to North Korea!

It's funny how people are saying there's no depth in the man utd squad Moyes was in charge last season but I can sense a new beginning here. There was no depth in the Dutch squad except for up front like man utd yet they came 3rd if Van Gaal can get everything out of this squad im sure we will see something great but I still reckon he's looking at the transfer market for a few world class players

J. Mathieu has been transfered to Barcelona for 20mil...

Van Gaal concerned with the number of commercial activities the players have to do during Pre-season and the number of air miles the players are clocking up, 13,500 to play four or five games, which is a lot!

The competition United are taking part in starts tonight, called the International Champions Cup with eight teams taking part split in to two groups of four with the winners of the groups facing each other in the Final, United City and Liverpool taking part (City and Liverpool in same group), starts with AC Milan v Olympiakos at 12.30am tonight...

Ben Davies first match for Spurs but more importantly, Lamela is looking sharp out there. He just put spurs 1-0 up.

So Roma beat Liverpool 1-0 in the first game of the International Champions thanks to a 90th minute goal by Borriello. Yeah I've never heard of him either. Up next, Manchester United v LA Galaxy.

Man Utd 3-0 up at halftime through Welbeck and Rooney x 2.
Ander Herrera is a cracking little player!

United 7-0 up at 90 minutes.

Been a pretty decent match, Herrera showing promising abilities.

Reece James with 2 goals, and Young with 2 in second half.

And to think man utd have no depth :p. Welbeck seemed happy in that position Van Gaal seems to makethe players alot more happy then Moyes did. Herrera was the MOTM I reckon. Liverpool played a sloppy game. I'd be surprised if they qualify past group stages in cl.

Good start for United last night, Herrera looked like he has been playing for us for years!

Swansea have signed Jefferson Montero, he is a winger who played for Ecuador at the World Cup, cant remember who we have bought him from and I don't know a lot about him...

We need more cbs we don't have enough. Van Gaal said that it's not Fletcher's role. He said himself he doesn't have enough. I think we will see a world class cb signing soon :)

Also I don't think we need Vidal that much. Herrera is like a younger virsion and already could be as good as Vidal or even better if he plays like that every game. If we got Strootman in January we'd be settled. Reece James and Shaw will be our LBs but not sure about CBS I think our front and midfield is all sorted.

I'm not sure why Spurs bought Vorm. But that's fine, Fabianski will be keeper no.1 in Swans. :D

Vorm was always going to go once we signed Fabianski, Fab wasn't to join a mid table to be number 2!

Another bit of news, the German members of the Arsenal squad have been given some extra time off, Ozil Mertesacker and Podolski wont be back in training until the 11th August, four days before the season starts

Also, did anyone catch the released fixtures for the new La Liga season, Suarez ban ends on Oct 25th and have a guess who Barcelona are playing on the 26th!..

Guys Vidals a no go for man utd :( oh well I trust lvg in his decisions. Also seems like liverpool are signing all of Southhamptons players lol. They surely won't be fighting for the title next season :p.

Actually his ban ends on the 26th which means he may be unable to play if the game is moved the day before for tv.

It would be a risk playing him, although I assume he's training by himself at his home...

Drogba has signed for Chelsea...again...

Yup he confirmed it at the airport to reporters must admit i'm disappointed, if Herrera is injured were back in the Cleverley Failfanny boat. Can only think LVG is waiting on Strootman.

Welcome back Didier!!!! :D

His last kick for the club was one of the most important in Chelsea's history, why would he want to return and sit on the bench? I don't understand why Mourinho just seems to be ignoring the fact that he has Lukaku who's a better (not at Drogba's peak of course) and younger version of him.

Rumours says that my Newcastle is interested to loan Lukaku. That'd be great transfer window!

Two other bits of news, Crystal Palace have signed Frazier Campbell from Cardiff and Benfica have signed Bebe from Man United..

With the Bebe deal, United have the right to 50% of his sell on fee when Benfica come to sell him.
