Exactly.
Still backing Croatia of course. Begging for them to beat Mexico.

Cool story bro :p

Inb4 he has a blunder of a match.

What i've been listening to on the eve of Switzerland vs France:

...certainly not forgotten-Hopefully this serves as motivation for the French :p

France takes the lead. 1-0 France.
EDIT: And suddenly it's now 2-0 France.

2-0 up in a matter of seconds. France are on fire.

Well that was quick.. 2-0

I leave the room for 1 minute...

:ouch:
I feel your pain because I had that problem yesterday. It seemed like teams would only score if I was away from the TV.

Yep. It looks like a Netherlands-France final to me.
What fun that would be.

Disallowed goal for Switzerland.

The Swiss narrowly miss scoring a goal themselves, and then proceed to concede a penalty shortly after.

Saved by Benaglio though! And France failing to follow up on the rebound.

Don't know why everyone is hyping France and Netherlands so much.

Netherlands beat the worst Spanish side in the last 10 years 5-1 (Don't get me wrong, it was still impressive), and then struggled to beat Australia 3-2.

France beat 10 Man Honduras 3-0 and are 2-0 up against a very overrated Switzerland, who could easily have 1, if not 2 back at this point. Okay, penalty, saved, still 2-0.

Germany though, not being mentioned by anyone beat Portugal 4-0, I believe the score was 2-0 before Pepe got his marching orders.

Overall, I have to say, I'm my opinion the Germany result is the most impressive so far. But, I'll have to wait till I see another German game before I can say anything with certainty.

Because they haven't cocked up yet. Unlike everyone else.
And Germany have choked plenty since the 2002 final. And with this World Cup, who knows what the **** will happen. Germany might look immovable but for all we know they could flop 2-1 against Ghana tomorrow, such has this tournament been.

Things look bleak for the Swiss now. 3-0 France

The Netherlands were too arrogant and messed up. They probably have learned from it now. I don't think France will be in the final though. I think it'll be Netherlands-Germany if they don't meet earlier.

Germany haven't cocked up yet, I mean they've only played one game, hence my saying I'll wait till I see another before I say anything with certainty, but I heard the same things a day or so ago when France had only beaten 10 Man Honduras 3-0.

France didn't make it out of the groups in 2010. I just don't understand the hype around them. I can understand it for the Netherlands though as they made the final 4 years ago.

France has a recurring pattern of both good and bad performances:
  • 1998: Champions
  • 2002: Group Stage
  • 2006: Runners-up
  • 2010: Group Stage
  • 2014: ? (if they win, past the Group Stage)

Switzerland are currently ranked 6th in the world. What's Swiss for 'my arse in parsley'?

Everyone knows FIFA rankings are a load of poo

Mein Arsch in Petersilie.

You asked...

Now again in French and Italian as there also Swiss languages.

Latin is also an official language. Confoedoratio Helvetica is Latin for Switzerland and why their ISO is CH.

But German is 60% majority. Good enough for me. :p

Fun fact: when Roy Hodgson was Switzerland manager and took them to USA 1994, they were 3rd in the World Rankings.

Switzerland were all over the place, and missing lots of passes. The keeper didn't help much, either...

Germany are the exception, of course they're not very likely to cock up (they lost 1-0 to Serbia last time, by the way), rather they'll just blow up later.
And as Inferno mentions above, there is the whole silly and wholly irrelevant 'every other World Cup' factor going France's way.
I-it's not like I want them to win or anything, though.

Incredibel by Costa Rica, everyone was writing them of as the groups whipping boys after the draw was made but i completely agree with what Thierry Henry said , sometimes its not about having the stars its just having the team that matters...

I think its too early to be hyping up the Dutch. They've still yet to play the best team in their Group.
