I'm backing Switzerland, the time is now. :gtpflag:

No fun in backing a good team if your own team aren't in it.

I think tonight's opener might be tight, Brazil will be nervous at the start, but I still fancy them to win 2-1..

All the shirt's together...

Combined player value - £6.2bn!

So, some very, very violent disturbs in Sao Paolo a mere hour before the World Cup's inauguration. Police on the street confronting people with gas and stuff. Intense.

This World Cup might end up being more interesting in the social side rather than in the sport side.

Where are the wacky shirts this year?

10 Nike, 8 Adidas, 8 Puma, 1 Burrda, 1 Joma, 1 Uhlsport and 1 Marathon....Nike wins the shirt war this time!

[Hype Intensifies]

And so does the violence :indiff:

Yeah I noticed that, damn shame Nike didn't let England keep using Umbro on the shirt, would have been nice for nostalgia and to stand out from the crowd.

Cameroon's is pretty wacky.

It's got Lion's, Puma's... all kinda big cats going on!

Also a lot of the away shirt's are pretty interesting, and many day glo neon. Team's playing it safe in case they actually end up playing on a building site!

On the Japan kit, I'd replace the yatagarasu on the badge with...someone else.

It's got Lion's
Take note, Ajax!

Wow the stadium looks half empty... is it because the ceremony seats are too expensive or are they all stuck in traffic?

I just wondering if peoples from Senna Foundation watches the World Cup :p

Because the ceremony was tosh.

Oh, that opening was poor. I believe it's the last time Brazil will host such an important event.
It hurts me, but I got to admit that.

Bodes well for the 2016 Olympic opening ceremony. :p

Well, Marcelo's had a start to forget.

Croatia are the more deft team so far too. Refreshing to see them on the ball in these opening minutes.

And it's an own goal for Brazil. o.O

Watching this match because it's the first. Then, I'll only watch USA and Netherlands, becuase I don't really care for the rest. I'll wait for the semi-finals and finals.

And Brazil score their second (At the right end this time).

Great finish by Neymar, that goal has been coming, they have stepped it up in the last 10 mins, Neymar could've been sent off about a minute before!

Pretty awful goalkeeping, he took weeks to get down to it. And from a scuffed shot as well.

Despite old man Blatter's fierce opposition, it does seem that football is actually... modernisizing.
