Is it me or does the crowd in that stadium sound a bit silent? No chants or nothing.

They would when they're being given such a hard time by Croatia.

Half time, Brazil the better team but Croatia look good too, good first half...more of the same please!

Well even after the 1-1 it sounds like there's not much drunk men present... Maybe i'm a bit to much used to European club footy :)

Viva Italia! Great first match going on.

Brazil 71.2% possession to Croatia's 28.8%, 89% pass accuracy to 69%, Brazil 4 shot on target to Croatia's 1.....

It will never cease to amaze me how English commentators manage to include the national team in any given situation.

Must be time to bring the vuvuzelas back :sly:

God no! Got surround sound since the last world cup and don't want it to sound like my living room is being invaded by wasps. Disappointed though that ITV doesn't seem to be broadcasting in Dolby 5.1.

Well they are English!

Just posted the same question of what's wrong with the crowd on the other forum i'm on of my favourite football team (Club Bruges), and someone said it's probably because of the high ticket prices.

Working class game, business class prices.

Have to agree with him there...

I understand them banning them god awful Vuvuzela's but why ban the big drums. That's as much Brazil as football!

They did?

Pletikosa has been truly dreadful with those two goals.

Neymar Penalty, 2-1, Goalkeeper had both hands on it but didn't stop it, he has had a shocker!

I thought they banned stalling / stuttering when taking penalty kicks

Croatia will understandably feel hard done by there. A very very soft penalty.

And after he made that great save earlier in the first half.

Very tame penalty award though. Losing his footing without being dragged down. Croatia haven't been getting as much of the ball since the 20 minute mark, but they still deserve to stay level after that.

Well Pletikosa's being dropped.
The awkward thing is Croatia have Monaco's #1 in the squad...that Monaco that finished 2nd in Ligue 1.
Pletikosa is playing nowhere more luxurious than Russia.
Experience is best my arse, he's been ********.

It's so painful to see the underdogs get so close to equalizing and then have it taken away in a flash.

3-1

1st goal was luck, 2nd was a gift from the ref, 3rd one was a masterpiece.

With that 12th man, I think we (Mexico) are going to get destroyed on round 2 :guilty:

Great finish by Oscar, my Man Of The Match, another blunder by the keeper!

We've all been putting in predictions at work. I predicted a 3-1 victory, but the first goal to be scored in minute 9. My collegue predicted 2-1, but the first goal to be scored in minute 12. I lost :(

On the bright side, I also predicted Marcello to score a goal. Well, hey, I was right in that regard was I not? :D

David Luiz has to be the biggest tit in the WC.

You mean the referee right?

I feel for Croatia. They played rather well and made Brazil run. A penalty that didn't exist... I guess luck from the 1st goal ran out.

Pretty hollow victory tbh. The fact that a side like Brazil at home won through a penalty that was completely BS is poor.
In my eyes that was a draw, and if Croatia held Brazil for most of the match they should be able to handle the likes of Cameroon and Mexico
