Well thats the first time I've seen a race spiced up with dirt in a drivers eye.

Bianchi should get 9th, I believe.
 
And now Caterham are the only points virgins on the grid. 11th is still a good result, however.

Bianchi can swap 8th for 9th for all Marussia care. They're gonna to party tonight either way. Cracking result.
 
So the Mercedes battle for the title is VERY spicy now. The drivers clearly are no longer friends and they're going to battle hard. I hope so anyway, it's the only way we're going to have interesting races at the front.
 
Same faces on the podium but didn't matter to me anyway as I'm seeing another ultimate domination by a team. Congratz to Merc and Ricciardo once again. :cheers:

On the otherhand, I'm trully gutted when Kobay get Kobay'd lap by lap before nail the coffin when Marrusia win the point. Cheers to Bianchi, he deserved that. I might say it now, goodbye Caterham. I hope Kobay get a seat next season.

Winners:

Nico Rosberg: Whatever happened in qualifying, he proved his pace on the track. Even without Lewis' vision issues, he's had the handle on him all race long.

Daniel Ricciardo: Almost got that second place. Fantastic pace in that RBR at the end after his issues at the start... which might mean that Red Bull is getting back to where it was in previous seasons... much better on the tires than Mercedes. maybe.

Jules Bianchi: Points! Points! POINTS! Wah!

Oh... last but not least...

Jenson Button: the dry spell is over. :lol: All it took was everyone having the worst luck imaginable for him to get those points. :lol:

Losers:

Lewis Hamilton: Just couldn't do it. Yes, he's still second... but in a two horse race, second place is last place. His despondent behaviour out there after the race says it all.

Kimi Raikkonen: How bad can your luck get? Great start, only man to lap consistently as fast as the Mercs... then his middle stint is scuppered by a puncture via Bianchi. Then when he finally gets back in the points, he gets beached at the hairpin.

Sebastian Vettel: Beat Daniel Ricciardo off the line. Looked set for a great result, then he lost his gearbox. Rotten luck. Especially seeing as how fast the Red Bull was at the end.
 
I'm pretty sure Bianchi faces a 20s or 30s time penalty for missing his stop-go, not just the 5s itself. If it's 30s that'd drop him to 12th and move Marcus Ericsson into 10th for Caterham...

He's gonna beat Heidfeld by the years end!
Also Alonso apparently on 23 consecutive finishes run as well matching his own previous best.
 
I wounder how many cameras do those photographers go through as they would get liquid ingress from the champagne.
 
Ricciardo was 1.5 seconds quicker a lap than Hamilton but couldn't pass him, well done to Hamilton for sticking to the back of Rosberg nearly all race and whilst using less fuel.

You have to be 3-4 seconds faster to pass. Ricciardo behind hamilton raised my pulse by about 2 beats. I knew he wasnt getting past.

For Monaco to have any type of passing there needs to be alot of pitstops because its not going to happen on track. They needed a softer tire here

I'd imagine that Marussia spoke with the FIA and asked if they needed to serve it in the race. Surely if they did they would do it, since it'd cost less time than that.

Vettel told on German tv the he lost turbo pressure. Kein lade druck!

Good but didn't matter cause he lost in the end to Rosberg

Serving the penalty would have cost them at least 26s - Monaco has a pitlane time of about 21s and he'd have been immobile for 5s too.

Actually, when he explained it he said that the family name is "rich-y-ardo" but none of the kids at his school could say it right so he decided to say it "rick-ar-doh" because that's what they all said.
