Joint failure in the suspension looks like the cause for Ricciardo's retirement.

The brake is what tipped him off there was an issue.

Forza Kimi! Fantastic battle with Bottas... but Nico Hulkenberg's original move... looked a bit iffy... Nico outbraked himself and left no room for Bottas.

Rooting for Lotus

Lovely work by Alonso there. Wonderful how this track allows you to set up an overtake several corners in advance...

Lewis less than 2.5 seconds behind Rosberg.

Lewis 1.9 behind now and pace still seems reasonable... maybe his tyres are still hanging on...

We got a battle coming up soon.

A certain German needs to pull his god damn finger out! *sigh* Not you, Mr. Vettel... :sly:

1.9 gap

Dark clouds on the north end...
Satellite shows nothing but it is Brazil...

Rosberg needs another error from Lewis.

Nico's in.

These next two laps will probably be decisive. Rosberg pits... Hamilton next...

Rosbergs brakes almost caught fire, heavy blue smoke on exit

Massa to McLaren. A bit too soon? Button doesn't leave the team till the end of the season.

Dang, if only he had stayed parked for a few more seconds in the Merc pit.

If Rosbergs brakes do go up in smoke, so does any chance he has left of the title. He'd still have a chance of leveling with Hamilton on points, but Mr. Vainglorious would still get it on victories! Scary times! :nervous:

I think he will stay at Williams for another season... He did good to leave Ferrari when he did.

Don't know if Hamilton can actually make a pass here... but his racing line is much much neater through those overhead shots than Rosberg... who's moving around the track a bit more.

So much for traffic..

Wow, Jenson and Kimi are going at it.

Great guns! Button versus Kimi is worth a mini-series, at least!

Hamilton is getting awfully close to four off on those strips..

Rosberg needs this victory in my eyes; and not just for the championship. If he manages to pull this off it will provide him with the self-belief and confidence, that he really needs to fight Hamilton. But if he folds again, I think it will completely obliterate what is left of his spirit.

Oh, Kimi, your team-mate is right behind you on a different strategy. But we don't give two :censored:s, as he's leaving at the end of the season, so carry on defending...
