What a day so far with bags of goals, Spurs hammered Man City 4-1 and Man United beat Sunderland 3-0 which means we are now top for the first time since Sir Alex was in charge, Liverpool scraped a win v Villa and Arsenal came from behind to beat Leicester 2-5 with Sanchez getting a hat-trick, Newcastle v Chelsea still to come..

I'd prefer he got the team plating well and we didn't sack him... sacking managers isn't our way, and replacing managers part way through a season is generally suicide.

If he goes, it will be one of the obvious 2 I guess.

Actually, we completely battered Vila, and Sturidge could easily have had 4 or 5.
 
You would think that Liverpool were bottom of the table with zero points by the way they are talking of a crisis at the club but they are actually 7th with 12 points..
 
Well, it seems that Liverpool is adopting the "emotional victories only" strategy.
 
Messi has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks with a broken internal collateral ligament in his left knee.
 
..and Neymar has had his head shaved!..

It's not so much the results, as the way the team has been playing... we were utter ***** against your lot; like the team weren't even up for it.

We were a bit better against Norwich last weekend, and better again today... though the back 3 are still a liability.

I will say on Rogers... he might have lost most of the fans, but he clearly hasn't lost the players yet. They worked hard the entire game today and chased down every loose ball. No lack of motivation.

Liverpool/Rodgers have invested in so many young players which are going to be good quality in the future or even now. Origi, Can, Markovic, Ibe, Gomez, Rossiter, Clynne, Firmino, Coutinho are a few examples but we can mock now but soon I can see them bouncing back as a serious contender for the title.
 
First time Manchester United been top of the Premier League outright since Sir Alex Ferguson era. 👍

Knew that one was coming. He missed a shocking penalty, deserves it for not letting Suarez have it so he can get a hat trick.
 
Great win from Arsenal, Sanchez was incredible.

Neymar said he wanted be like Messi so he missed a Pen and got into tax trouble.
 
Today's football has fit perfectly to my dream team.
 
Newcastle 2-2 Chelsea, Newcastle took the lead through Perez and Winjudlum with around 15 minutes left but Ramires with a thunderbolt and a Willian free kick get both teams a point..

With that awful defence, they're going to get relegated.

Not quite, Abysmal refereeing/assistant referee for the first goal just before half time.
Guess match of day will pick up on it. Kane,s goal he was offside, Howard Webb was asked during the game plus all pundits knew what went on and they made a blunder. Very much offside for them two.
But when city play against a team and a ref it becomes hard? 2nd half gave it to spurs simply because of the official's and the mistakes. Which gave the incentive to spurs to play football.

De Bruyne goal was marginal offside but with the speed of play cannot blame officials for that one, some times you get them sometimes you don,t?

Overall I guess a game of two half's. Man of the match for spurs was the official who wouldn,t put his flag up. lol

Just hope we can get back on track sooner rather than later.
 
Demichelis should have been sent off before Kane's goal to be fair, but the ref can't be blamed for a complete implosion by City.

Anyway, let's just hope Kane and Lamela can continue scoring.👍

Yes totally agree that should of been a yellow for the challenge but a 2nd yellow is a no no, Since he was arguing his case for the first yellow at half time over what was clearly at least a couple of yards offside?
Total "clatenBURK" is a lot to blame for being one of the worse refs in the premiership. :(

If they (Officials) would of got it right I think the game would of been totally different, Like spurs never really turned up in first half, And its only pee poor refereeing that got spurs into the game.

Anyway enough said, Spurs got the win which ever way, but hammered like some say is totally wrong, And Kane's goal well he,s broke his duck now, Redknapp really proud of that one and Steve McManaman thought it was great even after admitting in the same sentence it was offside, What a plonker. :)
You got to love pundits.

EDIT: Even Redknapp admitted both offside. (First by 3 yards in his own words) Pee poor refereeing spoiling games again?

He made every full back in Ligue 1 last season look like they were stuck in the mud.

Napoli win 2-1 against Juventus. Napoli move up to 10th and Juventus are in 13th trailing 10 points behind Inter in 1st.

N'Jie kinda caught me by surprise, I didn't think he was much more than a pacy forward but he's shown a couple of glimpses of proper talent when he's played.

You can probably all see why I'm (for once) optimistic about Spurs.
 
In North American Football news, Didier Drogba now has 7 goals in 6 matches for the Montreal Impact. Now if only we had a proper team around him...

That was for sure Lamela's best game in a Spurs shirt. The linesman were absolutely shocking but I can't complain really. I was laughing at Son Heung Min's offside goal but I would be enraged if it mattered. Still miss Soldado even if he couldn't play.
 
This 'Super' Sunday is pretty much non existent with just Watford-Palace on (0-0 at half time) but next Sunday however is a different story how about this....Everton v Liverpool, Arsenal v Man United, Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid, what a day that could be!
