Quality went down a long time ago. It starting to recover

I knew it had gone down but it's just poor to watch. I guess I'm just reminiscing of the days when I watched it every weekend and the likes of Zlatan, Kaka, Pirlo, Adriano and Seedorf were tearing it up against the best defences in the world. I watched it today and Balloteli was Milan's best player after he came on against Inter, it's just nowhere near the same quality as there once was.

Most Serie A players are part owned by different amount of clubs within the league which sometimes we see the bigger clubs just buying out the bigger share of the player and the club doesn't get a good amount of fee in return for the player so it leaves them less money to invest into new players which is a problem as it this lowers the competitiveness of the league.
 
A miracle happened at Upton Park last night as Andy Carroll managed 5 minutes of Football without his Hamstrings exploding...

So some updates on Luke Shaw, he suffered a double fracture of his right leg, he had successful surgery last night and is now back in Manchester after spending the night in Hospital in Eindhoven, he is expected to be out for at least six months and could miss the rest of the season and Euro 2016.

It was an Horrific night for him and I want to wish him well in his recovery and I'm sure a few others here will too..
 
I was thinking he'd probably miss the Euros. Even if he gets back with 2-3 months left before the tournament he wouldn't be able to get any kind of form that would really warrant taking him imo. I can pretty safely say he isn't going to play a big part of Man Utd campaign this year.
 
Actually he is still in Eindhoven starting his recovery and not back in Manchester, my fault, Hector Moreno has apologised to Shaw and his family, he did seem really remorseful last night to be fair..

Anyone with an ounce of humanity would feel bad about breaking someone's leg while just doing their job.

No Monday game this week, Chelsea-Arsenal clearly the biggest game, Luke Shaw had more surgery today which was successful and could be back home in Manchester this weekend, he was visited by Hector Moreno and his manager Philipe Cocu on Thursday.
 
Chelsea beat 9 man Arsenal 2-0. Diego Costa remains a 🤬

he's hit koscielny twice and Gabriel once, then screams at the ref to send Gabriel off. And with the ref being Mike Dean he didn't need much thought. Utter disgrace but then again it is Chelsea so that is expected.
 
Classic Costa, hate the guy. Fazio is one of my favourite players despite doing very little at Spurs, purely for the fact that he has punched Costa and got away with it before.:lol:

I haven't seen the match yet, but my god, Jose saying that Wenger should learn to accept a defeat is :censored:ing pathetic.

The guy who said the refs have an agenda against his team has said someone else should learn to accept a defeat. 🤬 person at a 🤬 club.

I'm a bit worried for playing West Ham this season. Carry on at this rate and it's going to be a helluva season for them.

It's quite clearly a distant nuclear detonation and Costa doesn't want his colleague blinded by the initial flash.
 
Costa is a quality striker but as a sportsman he is an utter disgrace. He should be banned for his behaviour today as it was unacceptable. Imagine he played against Roy Keane or Patrick Vieria. Fireworks.

Compare football to rugby and you see how polluted it is with acting and diving and a lack of sportsmanship.

Well in that case then I am truly sorry to Costa. He was trying to protect a colleague and I have very quickly and harshly judged him. I apologise for the expletives Mr Costa, sir.

Right some breaking news regarding the Chelsea-Arsenal game on Saturday with some FA charges.

Diego Costa has been charged with violent conduct, if found guilty he will miss three games starting with the cup game at Walsall tomorrow..
Gabriel has been charged with improper conduct..
Both Chelsea and Arsenal have charged with failing to control their players..
..and lastly Arsenal are appealing Gabriel's red card..
 
Gabriel put his hands on an opponent. That's a red, unfortunately for Arsenal, now arsenal should appeal Costas yellow card. That was the real injustice. I counted 4 occasions he could have gotten red. The two hands in his face, the swipe back at him, the the chest bump. Then he swiped at Gabriel neck too. All could have been red. Should be the red X4 punishment.
 
Capital One Cup tonight and tomorrow night, Aston Villa v Birmingham and Tottenham v Arsenal are the two Sky games..
 
:lol: Rangers v St.Johnstone in the Scottish League Cup... Rangers with a 100% record in the 2nd tier of Scottish football, and haven't lost to St. Johnstone at home for 9 years.

30 minutes gone and St. Johnstone are 2-0 up, had another effort well saved, and they have missed an open goal. So it could be 4-0... quite hilarious.
