I made funny of the Chinese version that didn't look nice but now seeing the NA version I like kind like the Chinese one alot more.

Seriously? I prefer the Chinese one now.

I'm guessing that this is a placeholder model until the new one shows up, especially if the international version is apparently smaller. Keep in mind that the Cruze didn't show up until 2011 in the US, three years after it went on sale internationally. I don't think GM is dumb enough to wait three years again in a market that is such a competitive market, but waiting until 2017 while issues are sorted out internationally makes sense.

So, they're pulling a first-generation Focus on us? (i.e.: America gets a warmed-over version of the current car year after year after year while the rest of the world gets newer and newer models...)

Call it ignorant, but I think that GM uses the other markets as test subjects (not really).

I actually like this version more than the Chinese one. I like the flowing and sharp lines on the headlights and grill. The Chevy's bowtie on the Chinese model doesn't fit and the whole front mask is weird looking. The interior is very interesting though. =)

It looks a hell of a lot less-silly, but, I'm not sure if this is the North American model. Given the 2015 refresh that's already been announced, and will probably carry on to at least 2017, I'm guessing that this is the European and OSEA model. So, longer. Global Chevrolet styling. I'd be curious to know if its running the smaller displacement engines under the hood.

All of this has me hoping that GM doesn't drop the ball on the styling of the next Sonic and Spark. They were good-looking cars in their own right, and it'd be a shame to ruin it with the Malibu styling language.

Man, that corporate grill is really a cross to bear. Just terrible...

The Chineses one and new one looked OK.

The refreshed NA model manages to be slightly uglier than the current one, great job GM.

Knowing this car, we'll probaly have one that weighs 4000 lbs and is powered by a 0.4 liter quad-turbo flat-twin + hybird setup before too long.

I read posts like that, and I get the sneaking suspicion that you have no clue what you are talking about.

Aside from the rear, that's near-enough identical to the 2016 Volt. Explains some of the pedestrian style choices, presumably saving on development and production costs. Fair bet is that the interior of the Cruze isn't too different, either. I guess in my mind, the new style is much better than the old, even if it looks like a Honda. I think my primary concern would be powertrains. Fair bet is that the diesel carries over unchanged, and I'd be willing to bet the Malibu's 1.5T becomes the mid-line engine that goes in anything north of the L trim. Here's hoping Chevrolet gets around to making an actual sport version this time, doesn't even need to be an SS - just a Cruze that's actually worth a damn on a curvy road.

So after everything it ends up looking basically the same as the one in the first pic shown a year ago.

Either way I would never touch a GM C Segment car.

The last Cruze has had a shockingly bad reputation in reliability and quality, basically anyone that I have known that got one sold it as soon as the warranty expired to buy Japanese from fear.
