Hmm, initial update reveal two weeks ago, car reveal now, another car reveal later? The monthly update plan didn’t last long, lol.
They said that they were going to try monthly updates. However they may skip months and even do double-releases in other months depending on how development goes. Quoting Irvin Zonca from Supernova Games over at Traxion:
“Depending on development cycles, we may miss a month. In the future, we don’t know yet, of course, but we may also double up in other months,” he explained, citing that if a monthly update does fall behind schedule, the studio plans to carry its progress forward into the next release.
If the Yaris Rally2 is announced for 0.3, I'm going to start raising an eyebrow...
The Skoda Fabia Rally2 was practically guaranteed to come in 0.3. This is information known since november 2025, well before the supposed leak was posted, so it makes total sense for the "leaker" to guess the Skoda in 0.3. Once again quoting Traxion, talking to Irvin Zonca back in november:

“Very soon, we will release the Škoda Fabia Rally2. Škoda is one of our partners – we are already working on the car, so this is why I can confirm this. (...) This is a contemporary, four-wheel-drive, sequential gearbox rally machine. While its release is slated for “very soon”, Zonca confirmed that the addition is “not in December.”
Although if it paired with the GR Yaris Rally2, then things do get interesting indeed. Although to be fair, the release date for 0.3, according to the "leak" has come and gone.

I know, but I'm interested to see if the Yaris is also confirmed for version 0.3. If they also confirm what's in that leak for version 0.4, I think we can consider that leak reliable (even though the dates are not right)

No offence, but to think that “leak” is nothing but a bull**** wishlist from some sad attention seeking fan, even after a first glance back when it was posted is… how do I say this in a nice way… not rational. It says Rally Sweden will be added in February along with another car. We’re already a week into February and we only know one of two cars for the “January” update. I mean, come on, think.

Also, adding to that, the community manager, when asked about the second car in the update said that it's "old enough to drink". I would say that rules out the GR Yaris Rally2.

Great news for me personally, if true.

With the financial struggles of Nacon the return of the WRC games is in doubt. AC may be the only (realistic) rally game on the market, so I really hope it continues to improve and eventually makes its way to console.

Yeah I do worry about the future of the WRC games, and WRC in general. It just isn't an in demand enough license for someone larger to come in and take KT under the wing or take over the license.

That is in a large part down to the lack of popularity WRC has currently anyway, it's in a stronger place than maybe a few years ago but it's nowhere near the heights of the 90s and early 00s when the likes of Sony were laying big bucks to have the license.

I fear you're right that AC Rally might, as it stands, be the last bastion of authentic rally gaming, particularly for console when it eventually makes its way there, and even then, my fear is that it won't be a big enough seller on console to show an appetite for rallying, because it is hard, it is authentic to the point of frustration and I don't know how well that will translate to a gamepad or casual gaming.

Best case scenario is it continues to sell well and perform well on PC, launches to a good enough reception on console to get money rolling in, Supernova go after the WRC license and then deliver ACR2 with the official license and create the most authentic WRC simulation of all time.

Wouldn't mind a WRC title by The Crew devs. Forza if they're not too busty selling PlayStations nowadays. Or Milestone could bring back Screamer Rally too?

Look forward to trying this when I get home from work. Very excited for the stages, and am curious to see the difference between ACR and EAWRC, as EAWRC also recreated the Turini stage, albeit using GPS data, without the laser scanning.

The Fulvia is cool but honestly doesn't interest me that much, I'm a modern rally fan (1997 on if you can call that modern now), but am excited for the Fabia and how it handles compared to the i20 which I find too twitchy.

The state of this game is deplorable. Since launch Arduino handbrakes don't work and now to make matters worse, my Arduino shifter paddles shift only when the game feels like it since the latest update. What a absolute **** show.

Arduwhat? No disrespect, but it’s early access, so perhaps it’s not top priority for them to support hardware that barely exists.

Arduino driven hardware is hardly rare in simracing
Ok, well you’re not the only one who’s having issues with shifting and handbrake apparently. I have issues with my button box also, so there’s some sort of input bug that I’m sure they’re working on. Hopefully they’ll release a hotfix tomorrow.

Rare enough that a good number of people, including me, had never heard of it.

Anyway, I've completed full runs on both new stages in a variety of weather and lighting conditions and I'm blown away. Not just with the accuracy thanks to the laser scanning, but also the atmosphere of the stages, I can't recall a game that has captured the feel of the Monte in the way ACR has. At night the red flares and fireworks lining the hairpin sections and banks is about as Monte as it gets and the colour palette is bang on.

The changeable snow weather is excellent, I like how it can be unpredictable with good variability based on the temperature, altitude and so on. Genuinely feels like you get different runs each time. The visuals of the snow building up are fantastic, the audio cues as the road gets more and more coated is excellent and although I feel perhaps the snow is a bit too slippery, even on full studded snow tyres, it does capture that slightly helpless feeling very well. Doesn't seem to be any ice though.

I do have to give a shout out to EAWRC as well, because although their version of the Col de Turini stage wasn't laser scanned, it was done via GPS data and holds up well for the most part compared to the ACR version. Of course the intricate details of the scenery and the road surface is more accurate on ACR, but the overall stage layout is recognisable and I didn't feel I was going into the stage blind as EAWRC does the stage well enough that I could translate most of what I knew into the ACR version with some adjustment to braking points.

The cars are good, the car modelling as ever is top notch, the Fulvia drives like an old FWD, sounds really good though. The Fabia drivers better than the i20 in my opinion, still has that slightly twitchy feel on entry but it's much more manageable than the i20, it does feel very fast. I'm glad that they are capturing the different feels between the Rally 2 cars as that's some EAWRC didn't do very well, using power as the biggest performance differentiator between the cars whereas ACR feels like there are tangible differences in feel between the i20 and the Fabia. The audio isn't as good on the Fabia I feel, it's a little bit synthetic or over processed for me.

All in all, very very good additions, and in excited to see what other stages come in the future.

Arduino-driven hardware support is incredibly common on the PC side of sim racing, early access or not, this is literally the only title I've had issues with a lack of support for Arduino-driven hardware on PC. Given that over 10 million Arduino boards have been sold (as of 2021), it most certainly exists, and in substantial quantities.
