Huh, they actually did redesign the hood to make it "lower".

The front grille seems to be the same size but is shifted downward an inch or two.

The 45 degree side of the trapezoidal grille now lines up perfectly with the headlights instead of being slightly above them. The top edge of the lights goes to the top of the grille and the bottom edge goes to the corner of the grille which you can see doesn't happen on the normal car. I'd say it's been lowered on the fascia about an inch. That height difference carries itself all the way up into the hood which ultimately appears more than an inch lower than normal. Now, the most prominent feature is the center bulge and the fender arches.

Check this out. Basically, imagine the stock hood, primary bulge and secondary center bulge in particular, as they flow into the grille. Now, take that entire mass of hood and lower it by an inch. The primary bulge disappears, the center bulge still exists (though not as wide) but it's now an inch lower and lines up with the base of the windshield instead of bulging above it, and the grille is lower.

Overall I think it makes the Mustang look much less front-heavy which has been my biggest gripe with its design.

I think the shape is perfect. Sometimes the Mustang GT looked weird at some certain angles, but this one is just beautiful. Plus that sound....

That quote combined with the revving....I would say I'm 90% sure it's a big displacement flat-plane V8. Which is awesome because it's never been done. By anyone. Ever. (production wise)

Can't remember production cars that have ITBs coming off from the factory. But it would be awesome if this one have ITBs.

This one will be offered worldwide right ?

Just about everything with a BMW M badge. E36 M3, E46 M3, E92 M3, Z3 M, Z4 M, E39 M5, E60 M5, M6 (both generations) Also, most Ferraris and Lamborghinis have ITBs I believe.

This M3, for example, has aftermarket trumpets, but stock throttles:

To be fair, the E36 M3 USDM and S52 powered Z3 M's did not have ITBs. But subsequent USDM M's were basically the same as European market ones.

YESSSSSSS. 5.2 flat-plane v8. Doing a couple of rough maths based on the current 5.0 liter, (the architecture is likely the same I suspect) while just re-arranging the HP figures but based on current torque (same displacement, similar torque is likely) I'm figuring that it will make peak power at around 8300rpm and probably redline at 8800 or 9,000. I can't wait. A production 5.2 liter engine revving to 9,000rpm. Insane.

Logic:
Peak HP=Tq*RPM/5250

2015 Mustang: 435hp @ 6,500rpm
435=[Tq*6500] / 5250
Tq @ peak power = 350

Substitute 500hp for 435, keep 350lbs*ft torque constant, solve for RPM

500 = [350*RPM] / 5250
500 = .06 * RPM
500/.06 = RPM
RPM = ~8,300

2015 Mustang peak hp RPM = 6500.
2015 Mustang redline = 7,000
(+ 500rpm from peak power, a reasonable figure)

2015 Mustang GT350 speculated peak hp RPM = 8300
2015 Mustang GT350 speculated redline > 8800rpm

I think this is all reasonable.

Now, the big question: Is it lighter? Power makes anything fast on straights, but lighter weight makes car faster EVERYWHERE.

Not typically. Their intakes are comprised of individual intake trumpets with plenums on top, fed by throttles. In comparison, the Viper has two throttles feeding their own manifolds and Corvettes have one throttle feeding a single manifold. The F430 has two throttles and plenums and the aventador has four throttles and two plenums, for example.

I suppose you are right. The Diablo GT did though, I'm fairly certain. I also think the F355 had ITBs (in addition to 5v/cylinder. Probably one of the most advanced engines ever made)

Btw, it doesn't sound flat plane at all to me.

I'd also like to nitpick that the F355's engine wasn't "advanced". Doing 5 valves per cylinder isn't hard, it's just impractical, complicated and expensive. Mazda's Skyactive-G engine is far more advanced than that. What it comes down to is the end goal: Ferrari wanted bigger bangs but Mazda wanted better bangs. Improving the science of combustion in ways nobody ever has, whereas multiple valves and ITBs were old news by the time the F355 came along.

Hot DAYUM. And, better yet, NO AUTOMATIC OFFERED, PERIOD. You only get a 6 speed manual with the GT350.

Also, Ford's apparently not done yet. C&D is reporting that a GT500 is on the way.
I would expect that one to surpass the last version.
 
The 350 takes over where the Boss 302 left off, so I can't imagine what Ford has up their sleeve. It's the '60s all over again, Ford, Chevy and Mopar battling it out.

Fords going for a well rounded track car than play the HP game with this one.

According to them, Ford's not done yet, since this GT350 is just a spin off from the Boss 302.
 
GT350 is more track oriented and the GT500 is more street/strip oriented.
 
But GT500s are still known to handle. Watch it be around 700 horses but outhandle the Hellcats as well.
 
The GT350 is pretty much guaranteed to be well over 500hp as it is. I would bet large sums of money the GT500 has 700+ just to get on top of the Hellcats.
 
Over 700 just seems silly. I hope Ford does better than simply chuck power at it.

This GT350 though, this looks awesome. Fixes some of the weaker parts of the design, and those engine specs look nuts. I love that the engineers didn't succumb to the tides affecting the rest of their engine lineup. As good as the Ecoboost engines have been, a flat-plane V8 is just the sort of insanity we need to see.
