Or somewhere in the middle.
Awesome news for the Dane train.
Meet the brand new Porsche 919 Hybrid.
That looks AMAZING!
I see a lot more R-ONE similarities but that's not a bad thing
They should name them the 919-14 and 919-15 since they are radically different.
Probably do in house.
Anyone else get LMP2000 vibes off of the front design of that thing?
Comparison of both 919s: http://www.dailysportscar.com/2015/01/16/visual-comparison-between-2014-and-2015-porsche-919s.html
That's the first thought that crossed my mind.
I like this angle
For us gran turismo fans, can we call it the '15 919 stealth model? Also Toyota tweeted theyve completed their first test.
It does look amazing, and too bad Alonso wont be driving it as was planned this year.
I like how it looks 50% pretty and 50% purpose built racing machine. Also like what looks like an identifying light above the windshield.
Hopefully it has a livery to match its looks
Also, if it wins, it be the first 4 cylinder car to win Le Mans in how many years if ever?
My prediction for the record is the car will not only win Le Mans but it will dominate
Wow! I don't think a four cylinder has ever won Le Mans now that you mention it.
Some cars in the 1920's had 4-cylinder engines and won. I think 3 or 4 years in a row?
Mikhail Aleshin to drive one of the SMP Racing's LMP2s for the full 2015 WEC.
Everyones favourite speed demon with tendency to cook itself is back for 2015. The Praga, sorry Lotus, sorry Kolles, sorry now the CLM is confirmed for this season.
That thing changes its identity more then a business man doing illegal trades.
I didn't know Scott Tucker had a hand in it...
I apologise, it is a ByKolles, which to me sounds like a nasty stomach infection.
Sounds to me more like "lets change the bits of the car that are not really ours" in the article more.
Nice. (if totally legit)
Edit: render from Japanese magazine based on the leaked pics.
It is legit, it has a watermark (that's barely visible) on the top right corner. It comes from Japanese magazine Autosport, and they might just be right with the design. At least that's what I can tell from the leaked pictures.
From the look of the pictures, I thourt the thing sticking out dubbed up as a crash structure and air intake?!
No surprise, Wayne Taylor turned down his teams 24hr invitation. http://sportscar365.com/lemans/lemans24/wayne-taylor-racing-calls-off-lm24-entry/
Awesome give the entry to a team that erm..... doesn't have a car that fits the regs
Well, it's the intention that counts, right? Maybe they should give the entry to someone who can field a car on any category, I dunno...
Maybe it was an invite for the catering?
"You aren't racing, so maybe you'll be interested in our catering? We have escargots..."
Can't say I'm surprised either. They literally have nothing else but TUSC and that team hardly is big enough to have a LMP2 team as well to travel over with. With that in mind, perhaps they'll begin to consider that LMP2 car? It'll be a lot less for them to spend AND they'll be able to go to Le Mans Like Shank now can.
