I've always thought the P1s had right of way. Even though it was a late dive, he was up the inside before he turned the wheel right.

There was no need for Estre to turn in when he did, and Tandy moving up onto the kerb turned a possible slight rub into a T-bone. Both parties made an error.

The ByKolles is LMP1 by regulation only. Although, it is, or was, I haven't seen the standings lately, the fastest LMP2 car.

Then maybe we should call it a LMP1.5; not quite a LMP2, not quite a LMP1. Why do you even bother, Kolles? You were better off with the private Audi R10 venture than with this heap of slow junk. Wait until Rebellion shows up...

I doubt Estre actually saw him doing the move though. I agree that he kinda turned into him, but a divebomb is a divebomb. Never mind, at least both cars are still running with Hülkenberg in the P1 now by the way.

EDIT: Finally the penalty for the 17.

Forcing a marshal to step onto the track should mean a black flag and exclusion.

Damm, that's rather harsh for a penalty. But let's face it, the 17 has taken the penalty, they didn't let him go without one. And that's really the only thing that can apparently slow the Porsches down; racing incidents. Tandy's crash, Brandon's shortcut...

Not like the Marshall was in any kind of danger. 15 secs, plus the time it takes to enter and leave the pit is perfectly fair. He took what was essentially a shortcut, and was punished for it.

Sketchy moment for one of the GTE-Am Aston's, went way off track for a moment as he lost the rear end a little...thankfully he caught it. :O

#8 Audi just overtook the #17 Porsche under yellow flags at the bus stop a second ago.

I'm not sure why they were waving yellows though since there were no incidents in view.

Corvette driver being smart and getting himself well out of the way of that :D

I bet he was scared of those guys coming up so fast towards him... Also, that Porsche, what speed! It was as if the Audi was standing still...

As quick as the Porsche is, Audi's new aero kit worked wonders and has a really clever design.
A huge evolutionary step and also not bad looking either.

Behind the concrete=safe. On the racetrack side of the concrete=not safe.

ohh please. He was forced to move out on the far left side of the finish straight right after the chinane. In other words, a part of the tracks that is never touched by any of the cars. Completely 100% safe.

Does the thread really need to be running commentary of the race? It makes for pretty pointless reading a lot of the time.

This window blowout in the #9. I'm thinking that the explosive bolts went off for some reason. Possibly because of the car boucing around madly...
