Wow. Some teams are going all-out on this. So many intra-team shoutouts like Cassill's car mimicing the old Ganassi Dodges to jeb Burton's car being a simultaneous shoutout to his father, Bill Davis, and Caterpillar (ironically Newman's sponsor, so dueling Caterpillar cars AND Valvoline cars), and then there's Annett's and Patrick's cars which are either cheating, (Annett), or a clever pun (Danica). Should be an eye candy filled Saturday night

EDIT: The crossteam crosssponsor shoutouts continue. Also, I cannot get used to the sponsorship on this one

Race is Sunday night

I know that the cars will be throwback, but any NBC throwback graphics? That would be so cool.

The commercials so far seem to be suggesting that NBC might be getting in on the fun as well. At least, I'm hoping it does.

The XFINITY Series cars seem to average about 2:15.000 around Road America. Maybe times around 2:15.000 and 2:18.000. Pretty good considering the handling characteristics of stock cars and this four-mile course.

Interesting thing to note is that they are (or at least were) about the same weight as the cars that competed in the CTSCC according to one competitor (Can't remember the guy's name, he's a ford Driver).

Well, the top time from first practice was 2:14.311 by Ben Rhodes. Many of the top times were around the 2:15 - 2:18 range. Final Practice is going on right now as of this post. As far as average speeds are concerned, speeds seem to be between 105 to 108 mph with these cars.

3,200lbs without driver, 3,400 with.
Not bad, so they do weigh almost as much as GT4 cars (they weigh more, but they have more power than GT4 cars so it's counterbalanced). 👍 Honestly I like the Xfinity cars more, for some reason they almost give me a 90's Trans-Am vibe.

Obligatory "Paul Menard is excited" picture:

Is this race ever going to restart? They should just push the cars behind the barrier instead of miles around the track.

That's one problem with RA, the only spot where they can easily just push the car off the track is turn 5, the rest of the track is bordered by either woods or spectator areas.

Blake Koch to the lead, a statement I never thought I'd make

Definitely wasn't expecting to ever see that happen. Wish I could've recorded because I feel like that's a special once-in-a-lifetime event.

Tagliani's doing the tagging now. He learned something from Mid-Ohio.
Tagliani isn't much of a racer. He couldn't cut in Indy cars so he goes to NASCAR, which is the lowest form of racing. Then proceeds to join the third tier truck series to attempt to scavenge a win.
