I actually met Bass at Richmond (Cool guy). He told me that it was his first race since Talladega. Didn't press on him personally about it, just heard from some other people I've talked to after the fact.

This might be the final Bass car. Supposedly he is retiring following this year.

Wasn't expecting that at all. It is worth noting though that Travis has officially hung up his helmet when it comes to the crazy Motorcross stuff (after trying to attempt that Triple backflip which he ended up helping someone else accomplish) so perhaps that's freed up abit of time for him to try again.
 
The thought of him being in the 60 and not crash-happy Buescher. At least Pastrana crashing is him lacking experience. Buescher has no excuse for running over his teammates on a near weekly basis.

I guess Red Bull isn't interested in NASCAR at all.
 
Even the last time Travis was in NASCAR, Red Bull was nowhere to be seen on that 60 car.

Definitely agree though, Buescher is just the new Ricky Stenhouse in the 60 car.
 
It's because Roush is an idiot when it comes to driver choice. I would have never sacked Kenseth to make room for Stenhouse, nor Edwards for Bayne. Now he's stuck with Greg Biffle who hasn't done anything major since two years ago, and the two aforementioned "young guns" who tear up race cars and finish behind middle-tier teams.

He made ridiculously bold moves and now he's paying the price. Expect RFR to tank whenever Biffle leaves or retires.

Are we sure Edwards was sacked or did Edwards see what Kenseth was doing somewhere else and decided on his own to leave? How far are we from seeing the same happen to Greg Biffle? Sure he won't be on the "Dark Side" as Jack calls them, but there's only so much you can take from watching everyone else pass you with ease before you throw in the towel.


As for Stenhouse, He has never been the right choice from the start. He literally started his NASCAR career wrecking his teammate and destroying cars. Honestly, Trevor didn't start destroying cars on a regular basis until he came to Cup driving with Roush whereas Ricky did this even in his championship winning season.

Boy, how far that team has fallen. From bringing talent like Kurt and Kyle Busch to crap like Stenhouse and now Buescher.

Good point about Edwards but it still baffles me why Roush would rid of his only championship driver and after what, three straight top 7 points finishes? If Edwards made that choice because of Kenseth, I don't blame him.

I can't wait for Jack Roush to wake from his fantasies and open his eyes to what his team truly is right now, because of losing the best two that he's ever had. Stenhouse and Bayne aren't worth crap out there.

Similar. The windtunnel picture was from a Chip Ganassi body guy. This one is clearly an RCR car.

The car is too low still...
 
Edwards said in a interview after that stupid interview by Jack Roush on the morning of the Brickyard 400 that he was leaving RFR because he was "too comfortable" there and he needed a new challenge, something to bring back his competitive spirit.

I suspect that was more of a clever way of saying RFR just wasn't doing what he wanted anymore.
 
I was under the impression that Kenseth decided to leave Roush for JGR, just like with Edwards.

I keep wondering what would've happened if Edwards had won the championship in 2011 because to me, that's when the first domino fell. I believe early the following year, Penske announced they were going to Ford. It's possible Kenseth saw that as a sign that Roush may no longer be the "top dog" Ford team and decided to leave. Eventually, Edwards realized that Roush was a sinking ship and followed suit. As for Biffle, he either didn't like his options for future rides and decided to stay put or as Sterling Marlin once said, he's a bug eyed dummy.

Pretty what I think too, though I didn't consider the 2011 championship as the tipping point.

Well I think Greg Biffle sadly is in the unlucky position of having no good rides to go to. What good team would take him? What little team would want him (apart from another douchebag startup)?
 
Indeed. Whether or not he actually still had the ability to win, sticking with Roush killed any chance of moving on to another team at this point.

Also, Nature's Bakery fig bars are actually really good...

Even up till 2011 and 2012, the team was known for fielding teams that could vie to win it all. Since then, they've really only been known for tri-wrecktas and cars that struggle to compete for wins.
 
Their downfall has me puzzled as well since the Penske cars use RYR engines and are regular contenders.:odd:
 
Penske has the better overall package, even if, imo, they don't have the best driver lineup. Roush was stagnant for too long because they were the Ford team.

Only problem is they're still stagnant.

And the even sadder part: Who wants to drive for that team? Just as Greg Biffle has no shot at realistically running good with anyone anymore (literally, he is the oldest guy driving for Jack and he's been there since Mark Martin still drove for Jack), The team has no shot no matter who drives for them (at least in NASCAR anyway, maybe Sportscars would just be better for them to remain in). Fenway might as well sell off his portion and move elsewhere, his investment is just being wasted.

Nice to see all the die-hard Chevy fans getting a taste of their own medicine. Is the manufacturers championship even a thing at this point anymore?
 
It's still a bragging point when Chevy wins it but I honestly cannot tell you the last time it was even mentioned on a TV broadcast.
