Aron Smith takes pole, Morgan back up to second!

Stupid track limits are stupid! Great job still Morgan!!!!

Qualifying over, Smith taking pole with Sheddon, Neal, Morgan, Prialux, then Plato rounding out the Top 6!

So when others were exceeding track limits, Newsham loses his time which would have been good enough for at least P5, and ends up in 16th 👎

16 cars within a second though :o

I think they should have one joker lap per race at Thruxton, like they do in Rallycross. Would make things really interesting!

Bushell has a suspected broken left femur.

I doubt that the marshals could have done a better job a watching track limits. They need sensors like MSV tracks if they want to be more effective

Interested quali. Track limits are annoying as anything. Nice job by Aron Smith though

No. Stop saying people should be let off for track limits. It is a major problem and needs to be stamped out. The Touring Car drivers set a bad example that filters down to other club racing. Even in the same meeting, Ginetta drivers used to get penalties for running wide, while the BTCC drivers did the same thing and got away with it. The track is the white lines and the kerbs. If you go faster by crossing the white line, that lap has to be deleted for the good of motor racing. The BTCC drivers get away with too much, and something like this needs to be done to stop them. The runoff areas are there for people who make a mistake, not cheats who decide to drive there. You would all frown if in a football match, someone dribbled the ball of the pitch behind the goal, around the goalie and into the net if the goal counted. This is exactly the same thing.

...And then RX just sits there, with deliberate corner cutting. :p

Oh, and I'd rather watch a race where everyone is allowed to push the rules rather than it being randomly selected. I know which is fairer.

The fairest race is the one where those who keep to the rules are not punished by the rulebreakers getting away with it.

Cutting the corner is breaking the rules, not pushing them.

Well quali just showed that can't be relied on at Thruxton, since some were getting away with it.

Any links to a video of the Bushell/Belcher incident?

Looks like a long night for Welch...

Cars lining up on the grid now...

Lights out and away we go for Round 7!

Aron Smith has a puncture! Great save though.

Gordon Sheddon takes victory with Neal in second, Morgan in third, Plato in forth, Priaulx in fifth and Jordan taking sixth.

Best R1 in years. My ToCA "parting the seas" move got recreated nicely. :dopey:
