It's pretty disgusting.Booing Rosberg even though he was worse off after the crash last week and Hamilton beat him here again. Nice.
Not quite sure if Lewis' comment about the booing was meant to defuse things, but I'd like to see it that way.
Glad that the booing does seem muted compared to Austria.
Cool trophy, bit pointy though!
Doesn't justify it. Especially when Hamilton fans could claim the moral high ground after Austria. And in Austria, the crowd were reportedly misinformed, having been told that Hamilton hit Rosberg, so you could at least understand why they felt that way. Here, it's a pretty callous and deliberate act - like the booing at the start of the week.A Direct response to last time out.
I think I saw Nico say either well done or cheers when he and Lewis hit their champagne bottles together but you couldn't hear itFormula 1 podiums becoming as ridiculous as the Moto GP ones with Rossi, Marquez and Lorenzo.
You don't have to like each other, but at least be so mature to congratulate each other after the race.
lol we'll see what would happen if Vettel start doing over dangerous move on Hamilton to slow him down while Rosberg cruise ahead to win the wdc.Formula 1 podiums becoming as ridiculous as the Moto GP ones with Rossi, Marquez and Lorenzo.

A lot of hats would be thrown around the Mercedes Motorhomelol we'll see what would happen if Vettel start doing over dangerous move on Hamilton to slow him down while Rosberg cruise ahead to win the wdc.
Of course it is. Different story if they'd been booing a certain other driver. It's pretty disgusting.
In other words they can boo Hamilton and it's okay, they respond in kind the next race and it's not.Doesn't justify it. Especially when Hamilton fans could claim the moral high ground after Austria. If that's what I meant, then I would have said it. I have been pretty up-front about my criticisms of Hamilton, even in the face of widespread backlash. Why do you think I would start walking on eggshells now? I just said that you could understand why the crowd in Austria were upset - a courtesy that you cannot extend to the crowd here, because they have no reason to be upset, which other people have pointed out.In other words they can boo Hamilton and it's okay, they respond in kind the next race and it's not.

You'd be booing the wrong person, then. Bernie had nothing to do with that decision. He's the commercial rights holder, so he oversees the calendar, broadcast deals, trackside sponsorship and the distribution of prize money. The decision to start the race behind the safety car (and when to recall it) was made by race control.Having said that if i'd paid 200 quid to watch 5 laps of apparently the world elite drivers follow a safety car because it was wet then I'd be booing Bernie not a driver....
He was the drivers' steward. The stewards operate separately from race control.Nigel Mansell was part of race control this weekend.
Nico congratulated Lewis in his speech.
Lewis didn't say anything about Nico.
Good on Nico for trying to be the better man.
Not the stewards, it's the starter that makes that call I think.Nigel Mansell was part of race control this weekend.
I think it would be Charlie Whiting as he is head of race controlNot the stewards, it's the starter that makes that call I think.
Not really sure what the winner is supposed to say about the guy in second who started there in the best car. Well done for not being able to beat me? About the only thing that would make sense is to congratulate him on passing Max but even that would be a little condescending.Nico congratulated Lewis in his speech.

I thought the drivers steward works with race control and advise them on race penalties for drivers and things like that no?
