On NBCSN right now, They are showing Nascar Sprint Cup Practice. I'm not sure how long this practice will be, But it's on now.

They cut off F1 Practice to show Nascar.
For anyone interested, F1 Practice is supposed to be shown at 12:30 Eastern on NBCSN.

NBC is responsible for coverage of not only NASCAR, but also IndyCar and Formula 1 this weekend. They just showed about 6 minutes of F1 Practice, and then cut right back to NASCAR cause the cars are back on track. Now if we want to see the F1 practice session, we have to wait to see the recorded version later tonight after the Xfinity race.

Edit: Tree'd

That F1 Practice was pre-recorded already.

I just heard this Nascar Practice session is supposed to be 45 minutes.

Edit: Major save by Kyle Busch

If PBS covered NASCAR, you guys would still find a way to complain about it.

PBS would interrupt the race every 10 minutes asking for donations.

"If you enjoy seeing the 88 car run 1st at Talledega like today's race, please donate so we can bring you more great action, phone lines are open"

"And we'll send you this nifty tote bag!"

But since it's PBS they'll end up sending you an Indy Car tote and think "it's just the same"
My sides right now... xD

According to Kyle Busch, someone either in the infield or the grandstands is spraying his car with a water gun as he enters turns one and two.

I knew people didn't like Kyle but...dang!

Must be a Jr fan even though Jr's not in the race

And meanwhile their Indycar and F1 coverage is literally the best thing since sliced bread still. Weird things going on at corporate obviously.

I don't see anything weird about it. They got suckered into an insanely huge contract and since the ratings aren't exactly what they were expecting they have to air more commercials and cut other corners to make up for that difference.

I don't know what the numbers are, but I'm guessing the F1 and IndyCar deals are more even with the viewership so they don't have to have as many commercials and can spend a little more for on-air talent.

We're gonna end this with a Green-White-Checkered. Suarez in 2nd behind Busch going for his second win.

Edit: Busch wins... :grumpy:

For someone that said "**** y'all" to his team when they were asking him if he was ok, i'd rather have Busch.

I ain't saying Busch was ever perfect, but as far as I've heard, it's been quite awhile since I've heard him say anything like that, to his team, at least.

Suprised Paw-Paw didn't put him in time out!

Looks neat.

It'll look great in 26th position during the 13 seconds they'll show it on air. As long as we don't see the Bruins logo.

Other Xfinity race won by a cup driver... How are Xifinity regulars suppose to make the Chase if they can't even race for their own damn wins?! It's getting out of hand now...

Should have a license system, where Xfinity drivers can be bronze to silver, and once you've spent a full year in the Cup series you're a Gold and cannot participate in Xfinity anymore. That or you're allowed 3 events a year (the rare entrance thing like back in the day would be neat).
