Townley has the same driving talent the Dillon brothers have, but his "pop" cant afford what "pop pop" does by fielding a car in the top division

What series have you been watching?

Ty Dillon career average finish:
Trucks: 9.7
Xfinity: 9.8

Austin Dillon career average finish:
Trucks: 9.8
Xfinity: 7.1

John Wes Townley career average finish:
Trucks: 16.6
Xfinity: 25.1

Not to mention that Austin won rookie of the year and then the series championship in back-to-back seasons in both the truck series and xfinity series in a four-year span. He has earned every promotion each step of the way.
And then after making Cup was run outta the building by Kyle Larson for the ROTY, in addition to disgracing the #3

You know, either you just have a dart board with utter crap, and you throw a dart and then type what ever it is that dart landed on. Or (and more likely the case) you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. Any junior series will have stand out drivers and when they join the premier series they either fizzle out or take that much more time to come to prominence. Love him or hate him, Joey Logano was on one of those and so was his team mate. Not everyone is a Dale Jr or more so a Kyle Busch, where you leave the lower class a winner one day and win races in the top class the next day.

And this is beyond just NASCAR.

I think since 2005-06 drivers haven't been able to keep winning on Top series like they won in the lower divisions... I think Hamlin, Logano and Kez are the only exceptions.

I didnt say you had to agree with my opinion. Im sure if Tony Townley invested the millions Richard Childress has, you would see JWT have the same mediocre results Dillon had in Cup

Mate, JWT can't even win in Xfinity. I need some of what you're smoking

Funny thing is that Townley was at RCR, and he was (likely) let go because he couldn't stop destroying equipment (don't have a source for this but IIRC that was the case). To be fair, yes the Dillon kids will have a longer leash but they've proven they can drive a car and don't wreck it with the alarming frequency that JWT did.

"Investment".

He was there for all of 5 races. Got wrecked at Bristol, otherwise finished the race
Finishing the race for being a pay driver is not really what will endear you to an organization. I made a mistake in my statement before. He had 0 top 10s in a car that was definitely more competitive.
