Another angle of the finish.

That was a fantastic finish! I'm kind of bummed for Martin Truex but at the same time I'm glad Denny could get a 500 win. Daytona has provided really close finishes in the past but now in 2016 we have the closest margins of voctory for both the Rolex 24 and the Daytona 500!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't both Truex's finish 2nd in both their races this weekend?

He may not have won, but the #78's going to be fast again this hear. Probably even moreso with JGR than with Childress.

That finish was incredible. Kinda wanted truex jr to get the win but Denny is cool. I'm really surprised that everyone sat in line until the last lap to start making things happen. With this package you gotta start going with like 20 to go. I don't care if you second, you still gotta go around that time.

That was a pretty wild finish. And it wasn't artificially set up by a late caution.

I'm surprised there wasnt a "manufactured" caution, there were far to many cars running at the end of that race, specially by nascar's standards,

Its funny because back in december i was doing the 500 in NASCAR 15' and hamlin ended up winning the race with a last lap pass and by a nose. So basically i may have called the winner of the 500 2 MONTHS before it happened :p

It's ironic that they added the caution clock in the truck series to try to eliminate debris cautions (or whatever the hell dumb reason that was implemented) when the Daytona 500 had few cautions except for as truly needed and had one of the best finishes in a while. The Daytona 500 in a way contradicted the entire concept of the caution clock.

I seriously thought Martin Truex Jr. won this one. That is... until I saw the photo finish. Denny Hamlin seemed too far up top to win. I am a Denny Hamlin fan and respect him dearly, so I'm proud for Denny to win the 2016 Daytona 500. Yes- that was an awesome finish. And by virtue of his win, we know one driver who'll be in the 2016 Chase for the Cup.

Congratulations to Johnny Sauter (Trucks), Chase Elliot (XFINITY), and Denny Hamlin (Cup) for their wins at Daytona this weekend. Up next... bring on Atlanta! NASCAR about to rock the ATL next weekend. Perfect weather guarantee (at least from the marketing deal Atlanta Motor Speedway is promoting)!

I wonder if they will have a full field next week. The 26 59 and 83 were one race deals and only the 98 is a fulltime team of the others that missed Daytona
