Fun fact: Marty Reid got fired from ESPN for completely botching the call of an Xfinity race. Granted, he was known for botching calls long before his firing, but still. At least it gave is Allen Bestwick again which was fine with me since I always liked his calls.

I think it's the memories of Bestwick in Dirt to Daytona and NASCAR HEAT that make him acceptable.

ESPN's IndyCar coverage wouldn't be repulsive if it weren't for the fact that the "experts" alongside him were out of touch by over a decade. He's literally ESPN's saving grace in race broadcasts.

Alan Bestwick is more than likely counting down the days until his ESPN/ABC contract expires. He'll more than likely return to NBC to replace Rick Allen when that happens.
I like Rick, even without PWAHBLEMS.

TBH I don't mind Scott Goodyear. It's the other guy (Eddie Cheever, I think?) That is an absolute moron.

So glad that NBC is taking over, they're coverage is always amazing. :D

Scott Goodyear called the IMSA Weathertech cars a bunch of sedans...he needs to be banished from anything motorsports related PERMANENTLY. :banghead:

Honestly, Fox's coverage of NASCAR doesn't even bother me that much anymore (Especially now that Gordon is in the booth). In fact, I'm at the point where I'm now beginning to ask now why its such a big deal.

If you ever doubt Fox, remember we could always have ESPN instead.

"Around this 26.36.22.6 mile track"

Yeah. Or even better, the "Incredible" coverage of TNT with Adam Alexander in the booth. Good greif, like I don't get enough of his crap in the Truck races.

Or the fact that he doesn't screw everything up everything all the time. That said, it is quite memory.

I loved TNT, more than Fox.

Next race I'll probably watch will be Watkins Glen. Maybe. I hope to never hear that awful song ever again after hearing it last year.

Nope.

Bestwick is probably the best American play-by-play announcer when it comes to racing today, he's just restricted to only calling 10 races a year.

Doesn't mean the production is bad, which is what people are talking about. All racing has moved on from local networks so to complain about it at this junction is a bit late.
I just wish it was on local channels instead of watching it on some random website on the internet. In fact, NBC isn't all that bad on their broadcast.

Well, I would hardly call NBCsports.com random. If you have one of the providers on their list, you can watch all their live coverages. Its how I was doing it before I discovered I had the channel.
