Game was closer than I thought it would be but right when the Giants had it to only 17-10, they let the Vikings go right down the field and score.

Beckham Jr. needs to get out of his own head. Granted, he took a couple late shots out of bounds that weren't called but now he claims all the refs are out to get him... :irked:

It is early, but we are four weeks into the 2016 NFL season. Heading into Week 5, here's a Standings update. Try to find your favorite team(s):

--- AFC ---
EAST: New England (3-1), BUF (2-2), NYJ and MIA (1-3 each)
WEST: Denver (4-0), OAK (3-1), KC (2-2), SD (1-3)
NORTH: Pittsburgh and Baltimore (3-1 each), CIN (2-2), CLE (0-4)
SOUTH: Houston (3-1), JAX, TEN, and IND (1-3 each)

--- NFC ---
EAST: Philadelphia (3-0), DAL (3-1), WAS and NYG (2-2)
WEST: Los Angeles and Seattle (3-1 each), SF and ARI (1-3)
NORTH: Minnesota (4-0), GB (2-1), CHI and DET (1-3 each)
SOUTH: Atlanta (3-1), TB, CAR, and NO (1-3 each)

Any surprises to you so far this season (good or bad)? There's still a long ways to go, so don't fret too much if your favorite team is doing poorly. Some teams actually have stinky starts but come back to make the postseason. Nobody's been eliminated yet.

Having said all of this, welcome to Week 5! Here are the prime time matches for this week:

* THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 5: ARI Cardinals at SF 49ers
* SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 5: NYG Giants at GB Packers
* MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 5: TB Buccaneers at CAR Panthers

As far as marquee matches are concerned, the AFC is getting no love this week. All six featured teams are NFC teams.

I hope you all have a great day/night. Enjoy this week's games, and good luck to all of your teams.

Found this on the Yahoo homepage this morning....when you see it.....

Odell Beckham Jr.'s bank account is $24K light because of an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty in the Giants' latest game. I recall watching "Time to Schein" talking about the different things Beckham Jr. has been guilty of, including 1 suspension, 3 Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalties, and 1 Taunting penalty among other things. This guy honestly needs to chill.

The big game tonight is the Giants at the Packers. Tomorrow night is Tampa Bay at Carolina. Hope your team(s) is/are doing well with the matches so far.

One day T Brad was finishing up a game of football on the moon with his pal, the Cleveland Browns. He won 1,000,000 to 3.

"You see, 3 is clearly a smaller number than a million," said T Brad.

"Ooooooh. Now I understand."

Texans get pounded today and tried their best at damage control. The Texans lost 31-13, but the game was pretty much over early on as Minnesota was ahead 14-0 followed by 17-0. We failed to get into the end zone until late in the 4th Quarter. So all teams trying to undefeat the undefeated Vikings have failed- add my Texans to that list.

Up next... the Houston Texans will host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night.

Congratulations to all of this week's winners. Too bad my Texans couldn't get their 101st victory in franchise history today.

Didn't even watch the Lions game because I figured they'd get blown out and I found out that they beat the Eagles. How the hell did that happen?

Watching the Dolphins is like giving yourself eye cancer. I'm done with the NFL.

*Yawn*. Wait, the NFL was today? *Looks at Jets' blowout loss to Pittsburgh* Glad I didn't see THAT.

Glad I missed the Bengals game. It was 28-0 early in the 3rd. We got some garbage points to make it a 28-14 final. We had no answer for Zeke. And Dak did his thing.

Who dey? Clearly Dallas today. And anyone in the future if we play as piss poor as we did today and, with the exception of last week, most of the season so far.

Raiders won. The rest of AFC West lost. Okay, Kansas City didn't play. But still.

Today was a good day.

Pittsburgh is legit good though and Big Ben is a Top 3 QB in the league. Any QB that can make Mike Wallace look as good as Roethlisberger did is a hall of famer in my book.

The Jets are legit bad though. There were discussions well before the year that last season was 100% due to their schedule and the team isn't doing themselves any favors in proving that case wrong.

Honestly, I don't think the Jets are that bad. There are worse teams

I'm sorry the Jets had to play against the Steelers with those horrible bumblebee outfits on Pittsburgh. Beating PIT with those outfits should be motivation for ANY team to beat Pittsburgh. They beat the Jets by the same score the Vikings beat my Texans- 31-13. Sad. Anyhow, let's get busy...

Buccaneers at Panthers TONIGHT!

Here is a match for you if you love the NFC. In fact, in vogue and on display tonight is the NFC South to be played at the awesome Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC, USA. From the Sunshine State is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The home standing Carolina Panthers represent the Tar Heel State in this match. Sadly, both teams are 1-3. So this is nowhere near any kind of marquee match. But still, you'd rather be 2-3 at this point than 1-4. Who will win tonight? We'll see who will get it done tonight.

Betting info... Carolina is favored by 5.5, and the Over/Under is 46 points. Make your picks wisely if you are doing so.

Other than that... enjoy the game if you'll be watching!

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak won't be present for the Thursday game because of health reasons. He was released from the hospital earlier this week and should be able to return to the team on Monday. Special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis will be the interim coach in Kubiak's absence. Link here.

I got love for Gary Kubiak as he turned around my Texans taking over for Dom Capers long ago. I wish Kubiak the best in his recovery.

What happened to the Panthers? Shocking to see them go from a nearly perfect season to this 1 and 4 start. Are they that bummed from last season?

Five weeks of the NFL in the books. Now begins Week 6. This week's prime time matches aree as follows:

* THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 6: DEN Broncos at SD Chargers
* SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 6: IND Colts at HOU Texans
* MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 6: NYJ Jets at ARI Cardinals

So after every last team was an NFC match, the only NFC team playing in prime time is Arizona. It's an AFC West duel as the 4-1 Broncos will head out to San Diego to entertain the 1-4 Chargers. My Houston Texans will try to bounce back after their train wreck at the Minnesota Vikings as they have more important business with this AFC South match. Monday Night will see the J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets! square off in the desert at the Arizona Cardinals.

Good luck to all of your teams, and enjoy the new week of NFL football.

They lost one side of their pass defense with Norman's departure. Same with Peanut Tillman, and Jared Allen is gone too.

Also, Cam Newton getting his dome rattled every game hasn't helped matters.

You know, I actually like these "Color Rush" colors for San Diego as someone who loves blue and gold. I still prefer the powder blue and white colors for San Diego, but this is an actually decent Color Rush combination.

New York Jets DE Dennis Byrd was recently killed in a car crash. My condolences go out to all whom have known and loved Dennis Byrd. The Jets will play at the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football this week.

I just finished reading that, that's sad. I forgot about him, that was a pretty big deal when he was paralyzed, I remember watching all the coverage on ESPN, I think I was 13 at the time:

San Diego won on Thursday. Who will win today's games and the Colts at Texans nightcap? Enjoy today's games. Maybe we'll get lucky and beat Indy, but I'm not really anticipating a win for my Texans tonight. Regardless, good luck to all of your teams.
