This is the final weekend of Summer 2016 (or Winter 2016 in other parts of the world). I hope your favorite team(s) get wins. I surely want mine to win. Anyhow, enjoy the Sunday action along with the Monday night game this week.

Hopefully the Raiders can pick up another win in against the Falcons today. They are favored to do so, but unfortunately, my team has disappointed before.

As soon as the Lions gave up that touchdown at the end, I knew they were going to lose. They were absolutely terrible today.

19-12 was the final score in Houston as my Houston Texans did two things we couldn't do against Kansas City in last season's AFC Wild Card game- score a point or win. J.J. Watt had himself a couple of sacks while JaDeveon Clowney asserted himself nicely. Both teams had trouble finding the end zone. The Texans struck first with a touchdown. Sadly, this is the second straight game where the Texans opened a drive that ended up with the other team picking us off. Next for the Texans... at the New England Patriots for Thursday Night Football. That's right- no rest for the weary.

Elsewhere, I am kind of watching the Seattle Seahawks at the Los Angeles Rams. Why am I smiling? Simple- those beautiful blue and gold vintage Rams uniforms are worn today by the Rams. Most of you know blue and gold is my favorite color combination. The Rams do those colors justice VERY well. If I could, I'd make those permanent for the Rams and then make one of those more modern colors as alternate uniforms. I'd make those Rams colors permanent much like I would want to make the powder blue and white with the bolts for the San Diego Chargers permanent.

Congratulations to all winners from this week's games. How did your boys do this week?

I find the reaction of Rex Ryan to Thursday's loss to be immensely humorous. After losing 37-31, and pretty much getting gouged by Matt Forte for 3 TDs (plus Fitzpatrick throwing for a chunk), Ryan decided that the best idea was the fire the coordinator.... of the offense. Yep. Well, the offense didn't stop the Jets offense either, but I guess they were supposed to. I realize that it is also due to the atrocious offense the team has put up, but either way, things are going to get a lot worse in Buffalo this year. It will be a near miracle if Ryan is still the coach of the team after this season.

Eagles at Bears TONIGHT!

What's good, Chi-Town? Monday Night Football is ready to showcase the NFC tonight. In vogue tonight is the NFC East's Philadelphia Eagles getting served some Midwestern hospitality from the NFC North's Chicago Bears. Philadelphia is 1-0 after winning against Cleveland Browns, and Chicago is 0-1 after losing at the Houston Texans. So who will win tonight at Soldier Field? We shall see.

Chicago is favored on the line by 3, and the Over/Under for this game is 42.5 points. Bet wisely if you do that kind of thing.

Good luck to both teams tonight.

I'm torn on who I want to see win. On one hand, I got friends who are Eagles fans that will trash talk to no end if they win. But the Bears losing will help the Lions out as a division rival loses. On the other hand, the Bears winning will not help the Lions much but will also keep the Eagles fan friends from trash talking.

Of course, it don't really matter that much since the Lions won't be going anywhere this year with how they've played to date, but still.

The final score from last night was 29-14 with Philadelphia winning on the road at Chicago. On to Week 3 now. The marquee matches are as follows:

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 3: Houston Texans at New England Patriots
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 3: Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WK. 3: Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

Get ready to start a new week of action. Good luck to all of your teams.

Tonight, it's the Houston Texans at the New England Patriots to kick off this new week of NFL Football. The Patriots have been a House of Horrors for the Texans, let alone having to deal with the Pats themselves. So I am looking for my Texans to go 2-1 after tonight pending miracles. Games aren't determined on paper, since anything can happen. THAT'S WHY YOU PLAY THE GAME!

Enjoy tonight's action regardless.

Texans have a LOT of work to do moving forward, and tonight's poor performance was evidence. I called a 2-1 record for Houston after tonight, and I was right as we failed 27-0 tonight in Foxboro, MA. Maybe the Texans pretended J. Brissett was Tom Brady was on the field and conceded defeat. Granted we were playing at New England and granted this is like the NFL equivalent of a back-to-back in the NBA or NHL, this was a depressing performance for the Texans. If the Texans want to be true contenders, they need to learn how to beat (or at least contend) with teams like the New England Patriots. Even Miami put up more of a fight losing in New England's last game than the Texans tonight. So I basically saw my Texans lose bad. In beautiful high-definition. Damned shame.

Up next for the Texans- our first Divisional (AFC South) match hosting Tennessee. Maybe the Texans will have better luck with TEN than with NE.

Rants aside... that's how this week starts. Congratulations to all the other winners for when the other games take place this week.

Maybe the Texans pretended J. Brissett was Tom Brady was on the field and conceded defeat.

This is Belichick showing just how over-rated Tom Brady really is. The Patriots win because they're coached well. Plug in a guy like Matt Cassell (who people actually thought was good after watching him on New England), or a 3rd round draft pick fresh from College, or even Janine Garofalo (I'm pretty sure she was starting at QB for the first two games), and they still win, easily.

People say Osweiller was outplayed by the quarterback on the other side (who I don't know the name of). Maybe... I didn't watch the game. But maybe, just maybe, the opposing QB always looks worse than whoever New England starts because when it becomes clear that they're over matched they have to start taking chances and risking looking bad. That's what a good QB does when facing defeat, take some chances and risk getting roasted by the press.

So Brissett is hurt as well now...

It's the fact that anyone that is even a somewhat decent player can fit into his schemes/gameplan.

I still think Brady is a great player, because he does throw really good passes, but being a Bills fan, the last few years of watching Brady has been like watching what Garropolo and Brisset are doing now, but with 10x better execution and accuracy. But I would like to see one of them replace Brady like how Brady replaced Bledsoe.

The only really good players he needs are offensive lineman.

RECENTLY WRAPPED UP...

Miami defeated Cleveland 30-24 in Miami. Regulation solved nothing in this one, though. So nice Overtime win for Omnis' Dolphins.

Elsewhere, congratulations to other winners such as Green Bay holding off Detroit in Green Bay, and also Buffalo putting a takedown on the visiting Arizona Cardinals.

I didn't even watch the Lions game because I figured they were going to lose. Turns out my hunch was correct.

I really hope that the "wait till Carson Wentz plays (insert team here) before we say he's good" ends since Wentz completely picked apart a Steelers D that was supposed to give him problems. He looked like an absolute beast today.

Saints at Falcons TONIGHT!

If you love the NFC South, then you are in for a treat tonight. The NFC South is in vogue and on display as the Atlanta Falcons will head over to New Orleans to take on the New Orleans Saints. Dem Dirty Birds say dey gon' beat dem Saints. But will they? We will find out tonight! On a more serious note, tonight marks ten years since the Superdome was used again after Hurricane Katrina. Maybe this will give the 0-2 Saints motivation to defeat the 1-1 Atlanta Falcons at home.

For the betting folks... New Orleans is favored at home by 2.5, and the Over/Under is 53.5 points. So pick your team wisely.

Enjoy the game if you'll be watching!

Jeremy Hill must have played well because he was like a 22 for the guy I played in fantasy football.

Another week of NFL action concluded last night with the Atlanta Falcons spanking dem' Saints in New Orleans. The score in that game was 45-32 in favor of the Dirty Birds. The prime time games for this week are as follows:

* THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WEEK 4: Miami Dolphins at Cincinnati Bengals
* SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WEEK 4: Kansas City Chiefs at Pittsburgh Steelers
* MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WEEK 4: New York Giants at Minnesota Vikings

Each of the represented teams have winning records so far except for Miami and Cincinnati (1-2 each). Also, the only unbeaten team so far among these listed games is the Minnesota Vikings (3-0). So this will be a little inner-forum rivalry on Thursday Night with Omnis' Miami Dolphins and Dolph Drago and Angel's Cincinnati Bengals. Enjoy the new week of NFL Football!

Adam Gase was so not impressed with our near choke against the Browns.

Face it, we lost that game. If it weren't for the Browns's awful replacement kicker, that would have been it.
