Couldn't get any of the streams to work :(. I'm beside myself with disappointment that the NISMO TV stream is gone....I can't understand that move at all. Hopefully there's a replay of the race somewhere at some point. This was the series I was most looking forward to this year.

I think I'm actually depressed....going back to bed :(

They said they would hopefully have it back at Fuji.
 
I know of someone on Reddit who will be uploading the finished race - I'll PM you when it's up.
 
Fantastic race, as usual :sly:

Things look rather similar to last year in GT500. The RCF is strong out of the gate, but fades towards the end, whereas the GTR seems to get stronger as the race goes on. Honda...just...ya, I dunno. Pretty easy day at the office for the #1 MOTUL car, picking up where they left off. Driver of the day goes to Chiyo is the S-Road GTR, he was driving the wheels off that thing!! Perhaps a little too much, maybe he ran out of tire at the end, but still, very entertaining to watch.

GT300 looks like it's going to be dominated by the German GT3 cars. I had hope for that one 86, but that went out the window with the early pit stop. There's a lot of great looking cars in this field, but for today I think my favorite was the Leon AMG - so simple but so :drool:. Lexus RCF was bringing up the rear again. I thought this was the year they got competative?

Already waiting for round 2 :D
 
Anyone able to translate the interview with Chiyo? I got the impression the announcers were quite impressed with his performance, and am just curious what they had to say.
 
Hey guys, do you know where can i watch live Super GT becuase i didn't see livestream on the Nismo TV channel in YouTube for Okayama last weekend. It would be great if anyone knows a NON Japanese television that broadcasts Super GT or a site maybe.

There is no NON Japanese broadcast of Super GT. The NISMO channel livestream is simply the Japanese broadcast with Radio LeMans commentary layed overtop.

NISMO TV posted on both facebook and Twitter that they were working on getting the livestream back for the next round. I've no idea what the problem/issue was, but that's what they said. Fingers crossed they get it working.

Round 3 of the 2016 SUPER GT series at Autopolis to be postponed

We wish to express our sincerest condolences to the victims of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake and pray for the souls of the deceased.
We also pray for a rapid recovery for those who have suffered severe losses in this natural disaster.

Due to the present circumstances, consultations have been conducted with the organizers and related parties of the third round of the 2016 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, the KYUSHU 300km Race scheduled for May 21 (Sat.) and 22 (Sun.) at Autopolis, and we now announce that the decision has been made to postpone the round and the support events (including the FIA-F4 races) out of concern for the surrounding environment and the safety of the spectators who planned to attend the event.

Concerning the plans going forward, the continuing after-quakes in the Kumamoto and Oita region make it necessary for us to keep a close watch on developments before a decision will be made about a future date for a possible holding of the Autopolis round. Announcements will be made when such a decision is reached. Until then we ask for your kind understanding.

Ahh yes I hear about that, forgot to put the two together though, very sad to hear not long after the 2011 quakes.

Welp, as I was sleeping, I couldn't watch the race. But after watching the highlight reel... Um... Wow. That was a crazy race. I'm rather disappointed, but bring on Autopolis.

Autopolis has pulled out of the 2016 schedule, and they're going to try to still have 8 rounds.
