Thanks for the link that was interesting. So those regulations were put in place in 1989 and they raced there until 2007. I don't think the noise would be an issue, especially since the current cars are quieter. Anyway, they probably won't race there anytime soon.

I'm not even aware of any of the PIR major events being filled by anything. Also interesting to see that they run a similar event schedule to Lime Rock, who have similar noise restrictions, even though I'm struggling to find information online like I did for PIR.
 
Could be possible that Rossi hasn't had a seat made for him yet. That signing was announced so late.
 
I see Andre Negrao in the timing sheet as well. That's 3 former F1 ladder drivers in Indy Lights now.

 
More Indy Lights entries overall I think too.
 
I think they had about 12-14 last year at the best of times. The Freedom 100 had 10 I think.
 
Andretti unveiled their new liveries and have adopted a team design. I can see Rossi's getting confused with a Penske car at first glance.

Stoneman is going to rape Lights this year, 3rd fastest after 14 laps of driving the car and track for the first time ever?
 


Track opens at 2pm ET but for some stupid reason they have limited amounts of tires (3 sets per day) they will save them to run later in the day when it cools off.

Except for Indy and Pocono, that's about the average mph gap between the two around ovals.

Edit: 22 cars for the season since Rossi wasn't at this test.

That's the number Bryan Herta has used for his team for some time, so I doubt Rossi had a choice.

None of them really set the world on fire. Stoneman was the only one who had real potential, but then he was forced to take a sabbatical due to testicular cancer. He made a full recovery, but never quite honed his edge to be as sharp as it once was.

I tried finding specs but came up empty. The only stat I could find is the 180mph top speed listed on the ad page for the program.

Either way they are completely different and it's stupid to compare their respective performance.

The 2 seater is around 50kg heavier and restricted to an RPM limit plus has an intake restriction, plus the added weight of the passenger varying from 58-80kg maximum height of 6ft, for obvious safety reasons,

I don't seem to ever recall saying they were the best in the world.
 


Definitely looks nothing like a Penske car.
