I really wish that ABC/ESPN would drop what races they do carry as their coverage isn't very good. I think a TV schedule with 5-6 big races on NBC and have the rest of the races and qualifying on NBC Sports would be amazing.

Oh yeah, Hinch is the man! Whoo!

That was an excellent pole day. Congrats to Ed Carpenter for beating out the big dogs and claiming the pole!

So #40 has been entered, but will not attempt to qualify?

Forgive my ignorance. The Indy 500 has one of the most complex qualifying systems that I know of.

I'm actually surprised it hadn't been withdrawn.

The part that makes it even more complicated is that they count the T cars in the qualifying order, and until today, I didn't even know there was a draw for qualifying. I thought it was just line up and go.

Please tell me you guys saw that finish in indy lights. Three wide in Turns 3 and 4, then a four-wide finish.

I was expecting them to crash, because 3 wide is just insanity at Indy.

That was hilarious, I was just in stitches when he ran

Don't know if anyone caught this, but in the four years that Indycar has been visiting Alabama, Scott Dixon has finished second all four times.

Just a random observation.

Wow, that was pretty unexpected..

I thought so too, but from what I've seen being said. National Guard wants more results with fewer crashes and bad finishes. It's tad odd considering Dale Jr lol.

Indycar seems to struggle and I'm not really sure why as it's always interesting to watch with no one running away with any races.

Well, the only thing he's known for is for choking on the last turn at Indy in 2011, and he crashed on lap 4 this year, so yeah.

Granted last year was one of those things that happened, and blame it on rookie move. This year I didn't see what happened but look how long it took TK to win there. It seems like these days you can't have a warm up period to gain speed so to speak in any of the top series anymore.

Live coverage of both races of the Chevrolet Indy Dual In Detroit starts tomorrow and Sunday at 3:30 PM EDT on ABC!

So, that's 7 Indycar races this season and no wins from any driver in the Penske or Ganassi teams.

Did anyone expect that to happen?
