What the hell happened to Sato? He just smashed into the back of Hunter-Reay.

Sato with a kamikaze attack onto pitroad. :ouch:

Heard RHR was being Marco Andretti on the radio after that, which he should because that was a completely braindead move by Sato.

Wow...the brakes aren't that much different than they were in F1 Sato...

Have you seen Simon Pagenaud's grocery getter

Made an effort to wake up early only to find out that the race is on tape delay in Canada. 👎

It causes me no end of cheap amusement that as the IRL race was ending, whoever is manning the local Fox affiliate station felt fit to play Driven, of all movies. I like it when people have such a sense of humor.

Was a good race. A lot more trouble free then I expected it to be.

For some reason it aired early this morning on the local ABC sub-station(one of those channels that just airs syndicated shows). I forgot how bad that movie was.

It was a lot better than I though it would be, glad to see open wheel cars back at Pocono.👍

Sportsnet should be showing the race right now, but they've lost me as a viewer putting it on Tape Delay. I'll wait for it to go on Youtube. Still mad.

Had an enjoyable time at the race; was in the 15th row (from the bottom) of Section N-4 (about 300-200 feet before the finish line.) Was glad to have brought the scanner, noise-canceling headphones, and earplugs - even with all that, the things are screaming loud. Only sunburn I got was on my nose; also consumed 5 bottles of water and Gatorade. Conditions were ideal for such a hot season; lots of cloud cover and a very nice breeze that kept it at a good temperature.

Was rooting for Sato until he screwed up; switched to Kanaan until his mishap; then went with Franchitti. I counted at least 8 (possibly as much as 14) instances of other drivers going into the pits too hot and locking it up - only ones I didn't see do it were the Ganassi cars (and Marco.)

Apparently the talk of the people in the stands with us was that it would be a horsepower race (meaning the Chevrolet-powered cars would have the slight edge.) My observation is that it turned into a fuel mileage race (Marco was basically untouchable until the point where he dropped to 5th and went into a downward spiral from there) and if I remember right (probably not) the Hondas are supposed to get better fuel mileage.

Only counterpoint to that would be Sato's speed - he set the fastest lap of the race (219.xxx or 218.xxx.) He could have had a shot to win it, if he hadn't lost all power to his brain (a lot of drivers did this, actually...)

Didn't make it to the track in time for the autographs; did get some Sato gear and Izod stuff, so not a total loss. Race was kinda quick, only 2 cautions, just over 2 hours I think? Will also say that the race was won in the pits, and whatever strategy Ganassi's cars were running, it worked. It could have been called an uneventful race, but it wasn't - the position changes and pit stops were interesting, and made it exciting.

Enjoyed it, was pleased with the outcome (not a fan of Andretti Autosport, and especially not Marco) and will go next year when it comes around.

We forgot the freaking camera, though...

Was actually at the race today at the exit of turn 3 and it was a tad bit boring in the stands except for the last 30-40 laps when Marco wasn't up front dominating everything. It seemed like most of the passing to me was taking place heading in to the tunnel turn. One thing I did not understand was why they didn't use the Indy aero package cause it would of provided an amazing race with lots of passing with it being fairly similar to Indy. The cars just wouldn't suck up to each other unless they were within a car length away unlike Indy where they could be as far as 5 back

I thought they did???

I thought they did too but the racing just wasn't akin to what we saw at Indy and halfway through the race, the announcers said that it was a similar package but not the same. It explained the lack of passing.

I'm going to both of this weekends races. It's the first time I'll be seeing a high level motorsport race live, so I'm very excited :) I'm going to be sitting at the turn 3 grandstand. Looking at last years highlights it seems most of the overtaking happens there so I should be able to see plenty of action. I'll try to take some pictures. If I get anything good I'll post them up here 👍

Don't forget to check out some of the Stadium Super Trucks while you are there either.

Live coverage of both races of the Honda Indy Toronto starts later today and tomorrow at 3:00 PM EDT on NBC Sports Network!

Good race, even without the Standing starts. Also enjoyed the presence of Steve Matchet in booth.

BS move by Dario.

BS by TGBB in general.

Will should have learned from the first time he attempted it that it was a bad idea. He nearly had that result when he pulled that stupid move on Dixon.

They did touch.. barely. It was more of Will reacting to it that put him in the dirt/dust against the wall and that's when he lost it.

Sorry, but I disagree. That pass was never going to work, he just divebombed right as Dario was trying to take the inside and defend on the final lap, which got him bouncing (Slightly) off Dario into the wall.

Saw the whole replay. Will faked going outside before shoving it inside. Franchitti barely reacted to either move.
