Totally missed the race, but that makes 3 wins in a row now doesn't it? Hopefully this is the year that he finally gets the championship. 👍

Right now it does not look like anyone can beat him but it's still early days yet and anything can happen. If I was betting I would certainly put my money on him though.:)
 
No power boost for Lotus. The official's reasoning was fair, but running 14mph under the pace at Indy is worrying not only for Lotus, but for other drivers who must now treat the two lotuses as high speed road blocks. :scared:

They will apparently be parked if they can't keep within 105% of the leaders times.
 
Yeah, there's a 105% rule in the race. Any car that can't stay within that pace is parked. It's up to Lotus and the team to find that speed without any added boost or risk not running the full race.
 
They are one of the teams that switched, but Jay Penske has never been able to field more than one car for multiple races with much success.
 
Oh great, you mean I have to keep flipping back and forth between Indy and Nascar again :sly:
 
Formula 1 should get the same onboard cameras as Indy. The coverage is so much better this way.
 
They are now deciding if they can race on, because there are strips of asphalt getting separated from the concrete.
 
They used bondo to fix Daytona back in 2011, so maybe, if they have any on tap, they could use it to fix Belle Isle. Although it could take a bit more time.
 
That is some very artistically applied tape on Simon's arm.
 
They just started repairing the track with quick drying cement. High tech stuff being used!

I don't think enough bondo will fix this. Plus, it's concrete instead of asphault.
 
Well, there goes my coverage as ABC has switched to local news and I don't have ESPN NEWS on my cable.

Edit: Wait, there's hope as I just found one of the local channels is currently in ESPN NEWS mode....

And now it's been taken off air for some local music show. :(
