Can I take a moment to say how cool it is you guys have a show dedicated to the series that actually tries to bring news and not just recap the past race. Like we have NASCAR inside or whatever but that usually is just crap last time I saw it. Just a huge in depth analysis of the past race, a prep for the next race and maybe an interview, but not much developments outside of that.
Here's a "recap" :sly: if you missed it.

Stuff like that kills the point of a retro round in the first place.

Yes please!

Love to see them keep it for the rest of the season, actually.

Part of me agrees with you...

Part of me agrees with you too but, wouldn't it be a tremendous slap in the face for Volvo HQ for them to see how popular it is with the crowd :mischievous:
To paraphrase the Soup Kitchen Nazi from Seinfeld,
"NO CORPORATE BLUE FOR YOU." :D

The more I study these cars, they're just so right.

Just add 150 more hp and 15km/h to the top speed.

Out of the three names above, Tander is the smart one IMO.
Courtney & Pye have had the wool pulled over their eyes.
Not really, all signs seem to have him at GRM and a GRM without Volvo is going to be worse then Wilkinshaw or at the very best even.

If I was Nissan I would sign Stanaway for next season and get him before someone like PRA or Triple 8 get him.

Guess this pretty much confirms De Silvestro at Nissan next year then?

Happy for Pye and even happier to see JC staying with Walkinshaw.

Yes, but that would mean one of the Kellys would have to leave the team, which is a terrible idea for reasons that the Kellys have never elaborated upon.

Terrible for them, cause to them they're not the issue, they are championship class drivers it's Nissan that needs to get its act together

As far as I am concerned, that 4th car will be running mid field or worse unless they get a top name in it. It's just an extra expense running around out there that could go into the other 3 cars to make them better.

I'd prefer JC to stay with them over hopping to Nissan any day, and Scott Pye will be interesting to see in a Holden. Nissan already has a good driver in Michael Caruso, they just need to make their cars better.

I wonder where Garth Tander is going to go, back to GRM maybe?

Speaking of GRM, I actually hope they move to Ford instead of back to Holden. Ford needs bigger numbers than just 6 and Erebus missed the opportunity t turn to Ford especially with David Reynolds on the team.

That's what infigured as we. She still had SBR fans. Could have worked.
Anyway, she's still going to build her own cars.

Good for Pye.

As Ingall pointed out, Simona should do good in the Altima.

Did he think because he's been loyal and won the enduro cup last year and started the cup with a win, his seat was guaranteed?

I wonder why Courtney's agent elected to stay? Maybe he wouldn't get the seven figures somewhere else. I guess releaving Tander opened the budget.

Completely agree with everything you said. But would Simona really be that much of an extra expense, considering that Supercars themselves are pretty much paying for her drive?

From my experince being at their HQ they can handle 4 cars pretty well, the facilities and staff they have is more then enough.

Add a driver that pays for her self and I don't see an issue.

I think the only issue is that if Nissan with the current main drivers were going to be successful at any time in the past 3 years, they'd have been already. Thus if the car is up to par as many suggest, then it seems the issue is not having a top driver, so even if she is basically paid for why take her on when there are better options? Not saying she wont do decent but I do feel she isn't going to set the grid ablaze next season.

Put it this way, if she can be ahead of where Wood is by this time next year, job done. If she finishes ahead of a BJR or on par with Goldsworthy, job done.

Ingall said the Nissan is down on power. He mentioned the car works better up the front of the field. He's the expert, but the cars weren't bad at Hidden Valley. The Nissans showed their speed in traffic. Strategy and qualifying is killing them.

If she could do better than BJR she'd basically be sitting where here boss and his brother are right now. So as I'm about to say and said in my last post how does that benefit Nissan? If a goal as a fan of the sport is to see it keep growth and not lose another manufacture wouldn't it be more beneficial to talk about people who can take Nissan to the top and not just more of the same?

And why I agree with @R1600Turbo I mean sure they (Kelly Racing) don't have to pay her way, but they do have to build the damn car and run it and work the operation. I much rather see that effort go into a big name or big upcoming name. But hey give Triple 8, PRA and even DJR and others a mainstay at the top, cause the smart man would see his investment through for themselves and the manufacture paying them.
