I know what I'm doing tonight. Even though I know the results and am not happy with them.

Well, as Russell Ingall was saying, Albert Park is a very European style of circuit - and V8 Supercars don't usually respond to the layout. The soft tyre makes it easier for the usual suspects to keep pace with one another, but that's about it.

I've just clicked on the link using my iPhone & the page comes up no problem but it says playback error and has a \ through the play button
I'm at work still so haven't tried it yet.

Above the video, you should see "Video Stream 01". Click on that, and a drop down menu appears. Click on "Video Stream 02", it should work on your phone.

I use my PS4 and iPhone for watching most things, and on that website, I always have to go to "Video Stream 02", except when 01 is just a direct link to YouTube.

Sometimes, when you click on "Video Stream 02", the player window will turn white, and nothing happens. Go back to "Video Stream 01", let the window refresh, and then try going back to "02". Sometimes I've had to do this several times, but I can usually get it to work eventually.

There is the odd time where "Video Stream 02" gets region blocked, but that's rather rare. When that happens, BW is usually pretty good at getting a new stream up within a day or so. I just tried "02" on my phone for Race 1, and it worked fine.

"Video Stream 03" is weird, it usually takes you to some advertising page when you click Play. I've got it to work a couple times after closing the pop up window....but I usually don't have to do this as "02" works for me 99% of the time.

Also, when you click Play on "Video Stream 02", there is usually a delay before the video starts playing. There should be 3 bars flashing across the player screen while it loads. The length of time is random; sometimes I've had close to a minute of waiting before it starts, but it usually does.

Edit: the three bars only applies on the PS4. When I click play on my phone, there is a delay where it looks like nothing is happening, but eventually the video starts playing. I sometimes mash the play button out of boredom...it usually starts up after a while. Not sure if the mashing helps

Lastly, I haven't had much luck getting the player to work in HD (720p). It'll start up just fine, but then will begin to pause itself after a while. Sometimes after 10+ minutes, sometimes after less than a minute. I've had some success by manually pausing the player, and walking away for a period of time (half to one hour maybe?), then coming back and watching whatever. This seems to give it time to buffer more content, which reduces or eliminates the pausing. Usually I watch stuff in 480p, but if I have issues I'll drop down to 360p. It's not the greatest, but it's more than passable in my opinion.

If you can't tell, I LOVE this website...it's where I watch pretty much everything

Thanks for the advice

Arg...just tried to watch Race 2 and stream 02 had been blocked :(. Damn it :banghead:. Of course this happens right after is finish saying "this doesnt happen often"

Anyone know what time the Supercars race today?

Explanation:

Thou shalt not record/show/share any races that happen at a F1 GP because I (Bernie) make squillions selling the broadcast rights.
If you do, you'll have your asshole sued for all its worth.

---------------------------------------

Channel 10 as host of Albert Park seem to think we're all interested in hearing about their 'celebrities' and shameless cross promotion.
At the moment they're televising Chrissie Swan & Adam Gilchrist interviewing Bondi Rescue. Who 🤬 cares?
The time in between races would be better spent interviewing drivers or showing us tech features about actual Motorsport instead of this mindless crap :irked:

He has no control over the supports. It's more likely that the footage has been taken down because it's a non-championship round, and therefore not a part of the content officially broadcast by the championship; that in turn means that the footage uploaded to the stream wasn't sanctioned and therefore a copyright violation.

It's always been like that, regardless of which broadcaster carries it. That's why it's worth investing in Foxtel. You get every practice, qualifying and race session live, and qualifying and the races are commercial-free.

Remember the year Eddie McGuire was the anchor?

The reason for all of the guff is because the Grand Prix is treated as a social event. To the networks, it's not just about the race; it's about seeing who is attending and who is being seen attending. To the celebrities, it's about building a media profile; to the network, it's about recouping some of the money they paid for the rights. If they could, they'd just broadcast the one race and shelve everything else, or at least stick it on late at night - but Bernie Ecclestone is smart enough to know that they would do this given half a chance, so he sets the price high enough that if you acquire the rights, it's worth broadcasting everything.

Ah, I was like, what does Bernie Sanders have to do with this?

It's working fine for me at the moment.

@Pete05, stream 3 of Race 3 is up and working. You have to press play a couple of times, close the pop up window when it opens, click play one more time, and it should work.

Lowndes just frustrates me right now. "Fire it down the inside!"

Besides the risk vs reward thing, I think he was being extra nice considering the tap he gave SVG at turn 3 on lap 1.

Lowndes had the opportunity to leave his teammates behind. Well, one more to go. Tomorrow should be fun.

Wow...

Maybe Whincup could take it up with the Formula One drivers, who won't appreciate the chunks of rubber that he leaves behind.

A chunk of rubber getting sucked into a sidepod or s-duct would not be well-received.

First off the s-duct doesn't have opening big enough to do that, and even if they did that would have to be quite the lucky piece of rubber to fly around winglets and vanes to get in there. You might as well be more concerned with a brake vent getting blocked. As for the side pod while much more possible than the s-duct I doubt it would have any more effect than driving on a track with 21 other cars kicking up rubber over several laps.

I think if it was any other driver and any other team, you'd not have said anything. It's much like your comments with anything RBRA does or Hamilton does or anyone you dislike. There is sensible critical responses and then there is being the crazy guy in the corner that keeps trying to make the world aware of how "Bad" these group or people are.

We get it, Jamie did a celebratory burn out at a non-points gaining race to spite all the more well off drivers on the F1 grid for tomorrows GP.
