Well.... If you're choosing to take that view then look at it from the V8SC perspective, who wants to drive on a track covered in chunks of Pirelli Cheese Zero's??? Seeing as they are notorious for their long life....

Maybe Whincup could take it up with the Formula One drivers, who won't appreciate the chunks of rubber that he leaves behind.
Are you friggin serious?

As a former trackside marshall, especially at a F1 event, every single sector marshall in charge of flaggies instructs all of them to get out there on the track with a broom and clean the track as best as possible in between races.
Therefore, the chances of JW's burnout rubber finding its way into a F1 car are, quite frankly, laughable at best.
As @LMSCorvetteGT2 points out, your 888 hate is shining through & true to form.

I'm sorry, but do you have a direct line to my thoughts?

No, you don't - and neither does LMS. So I would thank the both of you kindly to stop telling me what I'm thinking because neither of you know.

The rules make it quite clear: burnouts and donuts are forbidden. It doesn't matter who you are - you don't do them, and if you get fined for it, you have no cause to complain.

Now back off before I start making some assumptions about what you are thinking.

Eh, I have a good inclination. Doesn't take Sherlock himself to deduce posting patterns...especially obvious ones like yours. However, I did already say
I'm sure that's the case then. ;)

So I'll stick to it ;)

More like, "I'll get the guys to switch the liveries and seats with Dale's car tonight and everything will be right as rain."
Three seperate low-flying crop duster impressions in as many days doesn't look good.

Curious analogy. Sherlock Holmes doesn't use deductive reasoning - he uses inductive reasoning, and it's almost always wrong.

Eh, you got me I'm not nearly the literary buff you are and thus most of my run ins with the great detective are live action. So leave me in bliss, thanks. As I said doesn't take much deducing to figure out what tree you may be barking up...but I already have agreed your actions weren't as sinister as first pointed out ;). So why do you wish to keep this going?

Best part is none of these count. ;)
...because your Nissan driver can still keep the lead, right?

Interesting how this year albert Park is pretty much the Holden version of last year where Ford dominated

Also 888 Racing reminds me too much of WWE's old Evolution Stable now:
Craig Lowndes = Ric Flair
Jamie Whincup = Triple H
Shane Van Gisbergan = Randy Orton/Batista

Also the fact that it appears that the team (minus Craig) is hated also adds fuel to this

So by this then that would make James Warburton Andre the Giant? *points, grunts, destroys everything*???

Not appreciative when people assume anything and take jabs at me like this.

NO. So that triple eight doesn't leave here with a million point lead. THAT is why.

It was meant to be a little joke, people do this too me with Pokemon (*cough* @TDZdave *cough*).

Coulthard seems super racey today. Must've managed his tyres well.

I guess that's it for me this weekend. Why bother to watch F1? Lewis and Nico will probably sip some tea on the podium and wait for the rest of the field to cross the finish line.

They both might as well flip a coin to see who comes first and watch the race in the commentary box.

Yeah I kind of agree. We've seen the close racing for the day now that the v8s are done. I was thinking of hanging around for the Porsches but that'll probably end up being a procession behind the safety car & a one lap dash to the flag like the GT 'event'.
If our man Dan had a chance of a podium, I'd stick around but with an asthmatic rubber band for an engine he'll be lucky to get a top 5.

Cause mid pack will probably be nice and tight.

Watching the random mid pack battles is like watching a fight in a TV Show that has no relevant results. The action is decent to watch but in the end, it changes nothing and it feels redundant, there is no external benefits that matter.

It's relevant, everything is relevant when millions of dollars are on the line via cvc distribution. Just cause they don't get a shiny chunk of metal with plastic on a podium hasn't meant anything for years. Now as a fan that may not be the case, but that depends on the fan. Also over long distance runs...Ferrari are closer to Mercedes than quali showed, so don't give up on the season so easy. If Ferrari don't minimize the win by Merc or 1-2 finish at least you can hope over the season that upgrades will minimize it.

For the past several years, no matter what hope has been put on for a good season and close season. It is never the case, sure Ferrari will get a few wins but Mercedes are obviously going to dominate again especially with what is probably the worst Point System in modern racing (25 - 18 - 15 - 12 makes no logical sense).

Besides I thought we were talking about if the mid pack was relevant to the viewers, not the higher up which is obviously important. Sure to the hardcore fan (like seriously hardcore) it would seem important with reasons you say but the majority of the audience (even myself) what matters the most is if the results have any effect on the Championship standings and who might win, that's it. Mid Pack can't pull that off unless if the top guys get caught in the mid pack (like several times in the V8s) and since F1 is pretty much 90% car based and 10% driver, that rarely happens.

That's the way F1 is, I'm not talking about the typical one team takes all. Even if the point system was overhauled or put back to pre-2010 it'd still be Hamilton winning or Vettel before that. No point system is going to affect a driver that wins more than half the seasons races.

It is relevant to viewers, their favorite team wins needed CVC money they live another day in F1 and hopefully at some point get a shot at running closer to the front. I'm sure any fan of say Force India or even long time Williams fans can appreciate where I'm coming from on this perspective.
