Krohn is still known for spinning, but he at least can usually keep a car in one piece.* Kogay, on the other hand, well- who knows what the hell will happen with that. Those two would be absolutely the worst pair of drivers for a car ever. If I was forced to choose between those two, I'd take Krohn without contest. Kogay for certain would fit right in as a driver in America's Am Ferraris (PC) with how he "drives" and how they drive most of the time.

I dont believe Kogay drives anymore after the horrible crash he had that hospitalized Mahy for a long period of time, just shy of 10 months if I remember right,

On yesterdays MWM Hindy mentioned that he heard the Nissan LMP1 engine is being considered for a possible DPi program. I'm not sure I buy that because if Nissan wanted to spend money in Imsa they already have a GT-R program that could have entered GTD in a car that is proven at fraction of the cost.

They might have the same idea as Bentley though and want to go for race wins rather than class wins.

They probably want to go for overall wins. If they'd wanted to they could have easily had Always Evolving or another team go into IMSA. So it'd appear they want to go for it all.

And that engine in a DPi...with GT-R bodywork...YES. :drool:
 
Maybe but with the amount of cuts they have made in the racing budget it seems like a stretch. The little Cosmo V6 was the only thing about the LMP1 program that worked right so it would a nice fit into DPi, but is it based on a production engine or a race engine? I dont think those rules have been set yet but I believe they intend on keeping the engines production based.

IMSA have stated clearly that any engines around the performance mark are eligible. Mazda's AER engine is not production based either, and it is pretty much guaranteed to be entered for DPi next year.

Oh wait, they're another one of Nissan's backed teams that have lost the Nissan funding. :banghead:
Too bad for Doran, they have been around for a long time.

Hope to see some Nissans in the PWC this year.

They did last year, 2 of them in PWC I believe. Then they also started looking after the GTRs in BlancPain midway through the season. If they don't recieve backing from Nissan (and 2016 isn't looking like a good year for Nissan racing....Renualt starts an F1 team, Nissan disappears, funny how that works), I have a tough time seeing a small company like Always Evolving looking after two rsce programs on two continents.

Has there been any video of the crash yet? I remember at the time there was no footage broadcast just in case it was a fatality.

There is a made for T.V highlights 45 minute video on the GT World Youtube channel, they show the footage that they have, though I dont believe with camera around that corner complex got it,

You can use pens or styluses or whatever they're technically called on them. They're are precise as your own hand is.
