Real Madrid just won 2-1 against Al-Jazira in the semi finals in Club World Cup.

With 36 shots, only 14 on target, 77% possession, and 19 corners... I mean, only 2 goals? :banghead:

Swansea at home to Man City and will likely get slaughtered!
It's already looking like a one-sided set of tennis. May well end up as a cricket score.

Full times from tonight.

Tottenham 2-0 Brighton
Man United 1-0 Bournemouth
Newcastle 0-2 Everton
Swansea 0-4 Man City
Southampton 1-4 Leicester
Liverpool 0-0 West Brom
West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

Frustrating night for both Liverpool and Arsenal, the City win was annoyingly predictable, Puel went back to Southampton and hammered them, Everton's resurgence continues whilst Newcastle poor form continues, for United? eh a win is a win and at least Lukaku scored.

Man City have broken the record for most consecutive Premier League win with 15, Pep also holds the same record in the Bundesliga with Bayern (19) and in La Liga with Barcelona (16)

Decent night for Burnley despite not playing, they drop to sixth but only on GD, they are level on points with both Liverpool and Spurs, Dyche is doing a remarkable job.

Considering their lowly league position, West Ham have been pretty mighty in the last three games - scoring first against Man City and almost getting a point, beating Chelsea and holding Arsenal to a draw... not bad going for 19th.

West Ham, Everton and Palace on the up. Swansea, Huddersfield and Brighton on the slide.

It's a 38 game season, boys. Those first 10 games will only get you so far.

Not conceding stupid goals certainly helps, that's how Burnley are so far up the table. Fans will soon complain though because winning 1-0/ attempting to do so is boring. Especially if you have spent a ton of money to do this.

Also West Ham are/were never going to get relegated anyway as much as I'd like to see it happen.

You missed Newcastle, sliding big time. Thing is there is at least double the amount of teams trying to go down than can actually go down.

Leicester City have been hot too and are up to 8th. After winning only 1 of their first 8 games, they have only lost once in their last nine (and the loss was to Man City).

And then they get crushed by Crystal Palace 0-3 today... :banghead:

All the football outlets have been going on and on about how great Leicester are playing, and Europe is nailed on for them this year, and how good Mahrez is and what an unsung genius Claude Puel is... so they were always going to get humped today

The Football fan in me likes the way Man City play very much but the United fan in me hates it!

Huddersfield-21 points from 18 games and 6 clear of the relegation zone. 👍

United 0-2 up at half time away to West Brom, Lukaku and Lingard with the goals.

Hearts played amazing, Celtic were torrid.

Glad the run wasn't ended with a scraped win, we'll just have to push on and start a new unbeaten run. :D

It will give Celtic a wake up call that they might have needed.....

Definitely needed it, I'd say we've been very poor for the past month or so.

Been hiding behind the record to justify poor performances and draws. It just depends if Rodgers reverts back to his ways of deflecting criticism instead of dealing with it head on!

West Brom 1-2 United, bad second half performance by United letting West Brom in with a scrappy Barry goal from a corner, just cant defend set pieces properly, nervy last 10 minutes, but still a win....plus Pogba back next week.

Bournemouth v Liverpool next, it was arguably the game of the season last season!

Manuel Lanzini has become the second Premier League player to be charged retrospectively for diving, he successfully conned the ref into giving a penalty for which Mark Noble scored for West Ham in a 3-0 win over Stoke.

League Cup stuff this week with Leicester v Man City tomorrow night and Bristol City on Wednesday night, There is no Football on this coming Sunday as its Christmas Eve, The only games that are on are in the Dutch Eredivise and the Turkish Super Lig, in the PL there will be nine games on Saturday with Arsenal v Liverpool on Friday night.

Arsenal and Man City just squeezed past West Ham and Leicester to make it to the League Cup semi finals, Man City needed penalties, Chelsea v Bournemouth and Bristol City v Man United tonight.

Wow, who could have thought Bristol would go through thanks to a 93rd minute goal?

I think a lot of Man U fans are about to adopt Carlton Cole's attitude to the League Cup (or rather, its new sponsors).

Quite bad from United tonight, sloppy in the final third and the players didn't seem up for it. We had Lukaku, Zlatan, Martial and Rashford on the pitch at one point. Fair play to Bristol City though, great performance from them and well deserved. 👍

Semi final draw.

Chelsea v Arsenal
Man City v Bristol City

Not a massive surprise as far as Clements sacking goes, you would've thought he would've got the Palace game on Saturday though, Pulis hot favourite to take over, I did say on this thread a few weeks ago the Clement would lose his job and Pulis would take over either during Christmas or in the New Year.

Here is the games for this Festive weekend

Friday Night
Arsenal v Liverpool (7.45 Sky)

Saturday
Brighton v Watford
Burnley v Tottenham (5.30 BT)
Everton v Chelsea (12.30 Sky)
Leicester v Man United (7.45 Sky)
Man City v Bournemouth
Southampton v Huddersfield
Stoke v West Brom
Swansea v Crystal Palace
West Ham v Newcastle

There is also Real Madrid v Barcelona at 12pm on Saturday so that day is looking quite packed!

FA to take no action against Man United or Man City over the 'tunnel incident' after the Manchester derby a few weeks ago, just a fuss over nothing really, FA also take no action over Mourinho's comments before the match.

Leon Britton to take charge of Swansea on Saturday, the club wanted to talk to Koeman and Bilic over the job but Koeman isn't interested, neither is Giggs, Franck De Boer currently bookies favourite, Pulis not really being mentioned yet.

So it finished Arsenal 3-3 Liverpool, contender for game of the season!
