Liverpool 2-1 Leicester
Watford 1-2 Swansea
Bournemouth 2-1 Everton

Swansea!!! :D:D:D

Man City's winning streak is over after they drew 0-0 away to Palace, very good game full of incident, it was all City as you'd expect but Palace defended brilliantly and they had a late penalty which they missed, Jesus and De Bruyne went off injured and Jesus is out for two months.

Lukaku expected to miss two games after being stretchered off after a clash of heads yesterday and now Ibrahimovic is out for a month too, Ashley Young has been charged for violent conduct by the FA after elbowing a Saints player in the stomach.

However way you slice it, he'll get a lot of dough when they pay his contract out.
He'll still have to earn a crust though.

I remember when he was at Brentford and they thought he was the best thing since sliced bread...

Perhaps he'll get a raise at another job.

Full times.

Brighton 2-2 Bournemouth
Leicester 3-0 Huddersfield
Stoke 0-1 Newcastle
Burnley 1-2 Liverpool

Brighton v Bournemouth was a great game, Liverpool snatched a win with a very late Klavan header, pressure mounting on Mark Hughes.

Everton v Man United to come.

I'm not sure I can put up with much more of this spanielturd at Hillsborough this season.

Could be worse, you could be supporting Swansea....or Sunderland.

Arsene Wenger has been charged by the FA over comments he made the officials in the changing rooms at full time after Arsenal's 1-1 draw with West Brom, West Brom were given a contentious last minute penalty which they scored from.

Huddersfield have signed defender Terence Kongolo from Monaco on loan till end of the season.

Arsenal v Chelsea tonight.

Jake Livermore was involved in an incident with a West Ham fan last night after being subbed off at the London Stadium for West Brom last night, it appeared he entered the crowd and launched a punch at a fan, he was escorted down the tunnel, it turned out that he was getting abuse from said fan over his dead son who passed a couple of years ago. West Brom have released a statement saying they will be supporting him and have informed the FA over the situation, West Ham are investigating and have identified the fan, who was later removed from the stadium.

Barcelona look set to offer Liverpool £140m for Phillippe Coutinho, a week after Nike revealed the 'signing' on their website and started selling Coutinho-labelled Barca shirts.

Also, if the offer is accepted, Coutinho will be sold for more than the total value of every player in the SPFL.

All this Coutinho noise from the Spanish press and journos is starting to get on my nerves.

Put a bid on the table if you have the money (which they likely don't until they off load half their squad)... otherwise STFU.

And none of this 'half the transfer linked to PC winning the Ballon Dor, or the World Peace prize, or finding a cure for cancer'... minimum £100M in cash up front.

**** Barca.

Ross Barkley has signed for Chelsea from Everton for £15 million, he was out of contract in the Summer, and he has missed the season thus far with a groin injury.

Interesting stuff I think.

A few journos reporting that the Coutinho-Barca deal has gone through, for £143 million!

News is all over Twitter.

As sad as it is to see Coutinho go as a Liverpool fan, the ridiculous sum of money Barcelona paid is ample compensation, especially as Liverpool does have a strike force that are capable enough of replacing him. Salah, Mane, Firmino, Lallana, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sturridge give enough depth without Coutinho. We're really only going to miss Coutinho when it comes to Free Kicks. Some of the sum has been spent on Van Dijk. Klopp just needs to find a more solid defense and a Goalie that is good enough - the squad has four goalkeepers and the best is Mignolet, that's not a good thing.

Hughes sacked by Stoke and Barcelona confirming they've agreed a deal with Liverpool for Coutinho for £142 million makes for a busy night!

I hate to see him leave too. Every time there was a free kick around the front of the box I would always think "it's Coutinho time".

What kind of contract is Salah currently under?

Devastated to see Coutinho leave... he's been by far our best player since Suarez left, and will leave a massive hole in the team.

Some of the stuff he could do with the ball was sublime - his close control, bending it in to the top right hand corner of the goal from the left side of the box,the free kicks, the passes, the runs to make space for the front 3... just a special player, and I feel blessed to have watched him develop from the kid who joined us 5 years ago.

No one else in the team can replace what Phil brought to the team... I think he's going to be a massive miss, and losing him now threatens our top 4 place and ECL progression.

There should be more than enough money to bring in a replacement AND to strengthen other positions.... our net spend last 5 years has been very low, and we just picked up a huge amount of extra cash from new TV money and ECl qualification.

FSG need to put their hands in their pockets.

First thing's first, a round-up of the Christmas and New Year sackings:

20th December - Paul Clement (Swansea City, sacked) Premier League
23rd December - Garry Monk (Middlesbrough, sacked) Championship
24th December - Carlos Carvahal (Sheffield Wednesday, sacked) Championship
31st December - Mark Warburton (Nottingham Forest, sacked) Championship

6th January - Mark Hughes (Stoke City, sacked) Premier League

Sacked: 17
Resigned: 2
Demoted: 1

Total: 20

Interesting one for Wednesday; the new boss' first game is the Sheffield derby.

To be fair, that was "by mutual consent", which more or less means they wanted him to go and he wanted to go, but he didn't resign and they didn't sack him.

Hopefully he's our Luhukay omen.
