Wait...who picked up Peters after Red Horse closed shop?
He drove for MDM Motorsports this race. Unknown if he got the full season or not since the team seems to have multiple people run that truck this year.

I don't know exactly what's going on. All I know is I heard them say this was his first race with that team. I don't keep up with the Trucks all that much unless there happens to be a race on when I'm watching TV. :O

He's slated to run Texas and Memphis next week.

So the situation with the truck race to my understanding is this: Christopher Bell was ahead at the moment of caution. NASCAR race control has a system that time stamps when the moment of caution is and that along with video shows Bell out front. The reason it looks like Briscoe is leading when the caution is out is because the caution lights on the catchfence operate on a slight delay to the "Official" lights. So they came on with Briscoe in the lead. Fox Sports made a mistake by not addressing this and showing the moment the catch fence lights came on. Christopher Bell is the winner.

Regarding the Peters flip, I can say I've never seen a car/truck flip like that just sliding thru the grass. Very unusual. Glad he was okay though.

Props to Fox for showing the in-car camera while they flipped Peters over. Amazing how much dirt got inside the cockpit.

Edit: Here's a tweet showing the caution lights coming on before the lights on the catch fencing:

And here's the moment of caution:

Another Edit: One more thing I want to add is how good the race was thruout it's duration. Really shows how good the racing can be when Kyle Busch isn't mopping up the competition. Only thing that was disappointing was the second to last caution that but Briscoe out front for the restart as the scrap for the lead before it was fantastic and I wished that it could have gone to the end.

This Xfinity broadcast is either going to be real entertaining, real meh, or a real train wreck. I can't see it going any other ways.

The broadcast didn't turn into the massive train wreck that I thought it would be.

So the two races I miss watching are two good races. FML.

Also, here's hoping the Charlotte roval is a dud...

They'll have to do something, because if Charlotte gets a whiff of success, Texas is next to try it.

If only the Texas' Roval was like the fantasy one in Nascar Thunder 03, it might have had a chance at producing good racing.

Its worth remembering that the contracts with the currents are still in place for a Looong time so a Roval is literally the only option. I know people hate the Charlotte Road course but what you prefer, yet another snoozefest on the oval in the chase or a road course in some shape or form in the chase? Its a feat in itself that NASCAR even finally came to the realization that maybe turning left and right could work in a championship format in a year where they made a bunch of other stupid decisions.

Really odd that both JJ and J Mac both had brake issues at the exact same time. Glad both are okay though because that was bad for both of them.

Harvick now concerned about his engine and transmission after missing a shift in the exact same way Jr. did.
