Watching the Sydney race #19 right now. The Altimas nose to tail in 10, 11, 12. All 3 can be in the top 10 every race. It's just, now they got Percat, Pye and Moffat in some pretty good cars(shame he got a drive thru for the contact with #97).

Just noticed that Motors TV will have live coverage for the whole V8 season. Super news for Europian fans. :)
Fans in Asia also got a deal for coverage.

Supercars will beam in to a record number of homes this season, with new broadcast deals in Asia and Europe to increase the sport’s global profile to 300 million viewers. Television coverage is set to surpass 5000 international broadcast hours.
Maybe after seeing a complete season live, a track in Asia will become a reality.

*Super GT double header.....Super GT double header......Super GT double header......please!!*

Sugo would be the best track for the cars, imo.

Great idea but it won't happen. Supercars won't play second fiddle to a faster tin top category.

At Motegi!
The sounds under each tunnel.

More than enough power to make it up the hill. ;)

IF IF IF a trip to Japan were to happen and not Malaysia, I think Sugo or Fuji works best the way they're dated.

Rounds
4/08-09 Round1 OKAYAMA
5/03-04 Round2 FUJI
5/20-21 Round3 AUTOPOLIS
7/22-23 Round4 SUGO(7/28-30 Ipswich)
8/05-06 Round5 FUJI(8/18-20 Sydney)
8/26-27 Round6 SUZUKA
10/07-08 Round7 THAILAND
11/11-12 Round8 MOTEGI(11/3-5 Auckland, 11/24-26 Newcastle)

I don't think fans would be up in arms over losing Sydney(I know I wouldn't). As boring a track Queensland is, I don't know if VASC want to mess with not visiting the team's "home circuit".

Motegi would be tricky. Would it be better move Auckland or alternate between the two rounds?

I know. Still a shame though.

I was actually thinking a double header at the Thailand round. If you're going into a new market, it would make sense to go to an event that already has attendance and build your fanbase there, rather than relying on Australian tourism and locals just deciding to show up on a whim.

Bathurst is same weekend as Thailand(I don't know if it's the same SGT round each year).

So, two days out from Adelaide and still no announcement from LDM, on who'll be driving their second car?

Good point. Don't know why I find that so surprising, especially after the way they handled the Chahda thing. By letting him attend the season launch, even though they had already been notified that his superlicence had been rejected.

They have become a real joke.

I dunno. I think they're in with a shot for winning back-to-back Clipsal 500's.

By that token, everyone has a shot. ;)

Read the new Dunlops are 15mm wider and squared edges. I think the old tyres were 280mm. Still a bit off from a 330mm Super GT tyre.

Makes me wonder if we'll see blowouts due to scraping on the inner fenders. -6° camber won't help.

Tomorrow's coverage is from 10am-7:15pm on Foxtel.

Somehow they managed to make even the monster car boring :(

It would be better to work with the SuperGT organisers to co-ordinate the calendars.

Well, PRA managed to use all the stickers in the Revell box.

Now, why didn't Sanfod & Son...err, Johnson and son, paint it the same colour as their shirt? Makes sense. No?

Hey, at least it doesn't have a vulgar Castrol decal slapped across the bonnet. Ironically, it's the one livery where the Castrol decal might actually work.

Still, it would look better with a giant Tickford logo on the bonnet instead of a giant Monster one.

What do mean by this?
I can't completely open the book without revealing too much but, Taz didn't exactly enjoy his time there thanks to a carefully worded contract, heavily-weighted in favour of one Lucas Dumbrell.
Taz was relieved to be out at the end of the season so, he must really, really want to drive in the main game.
Hopefully he's read the contract backwards, upside down & inside out this time and, that he's screwed LDM for the very last dollar to make it happen.

Supercars Life is on Ch.506. Starting with the Sydney test day. Love the filming. 👍

It looks more like the Kurt Busch Monster Energy livery without the green lines on the sides of the car
