How local are we talking? I've got family in Edgeworth/Cameron Park. It's pretty tempting, but I could also be going to the 12 Hour and I don't think I could justify going to both.

Not sure. Could be CBD residents. Cameron Park might be too far. I'm a 5 minute drive from the CBD and I think I'm out of range.
I'll keep checking.

Hare & Forbes sponsorship for Percat for Phillip Island.

If it's more like the Sunday race he refers to in the article, he'll hang around for another season.
Bottom line: enjoyment is the key.

I can't see him retiring just yet. Wouldn't surprise me if he did, at least, another couple of seasons full time.

I don't want him to retire either. He's certainly more entitled to a place on the grid than others out there.
What I don't want, is to see him consistently outside the top half of the grid, making up the numbers. I'd rather see him pull the pin as a full time driver, dust off the helmet come endurance season & take what blue-ribbon drives he's offered at premier events around the world such as Nurburgring, Le Mans, Daytona, Sebring etc...

Should Lowndes leave Triple 8?
Short answer: No.
I can't see him switching camps just to stay a fulltimer.
I'd rather he retired from fulltime & became the endurance gun in the team.

Well, Phelps was on again... Shooting blanks. Jessica Yates turned off the burner to the pot he was stirring.

He tried to suggest DJRTP would look to Lowndes, because Fabian is off contract end if this year. She said we can't answer that because there is lots left to play out in the championship.

Now, if she can just wear a daggone Supercars uniform, instead of her party outfits...

Lowndes at DJRTP? No thank you.

Looks like Boost Mobile are going to be the major sponsor on JC's ride for the rest of the year, if the Walkinshaw twitter is anything to go by.

Liking the orange.

I know it's probably early to think about this but come Bathurst I really think Tander and GRM will be a shot at the win.

At this stage, all teams bar LDM, have a chance to win at each event. I can't pick a dud car in the field.

In my eyes, Darwin is the better round. Winton still hasn't grown on me. I'd replace it.

Didn't someone in this thread say that it would look great in orange and black? Reminds me of the HSV Dealer Team of 2006-2008

Replace it with what?

Mismatched green bonnets are in vogue this year:

Meanwhile, the company no-one has ever heard of - MEGA Bulk Fuels - has expanded their sponsor portfolio, backing Garry Jacobsen's Super2 entry for the rest of the year.

A New Zealand track.

Why couldn't MOMO grace the bonnet? Yuck.

Smart move by MEGA. Wilson/Valvoline do it for the GRM cars.

I actually saw a Mega Fuels tanker on the road this week. Wouldn't have noticed it without the sponsorship so I guess it kinda works.

Because Momo obviously aren't the ones paying the big bills. Really, the sponsor offering up the money doesn't care about how good the car looks necessarily, just more so how well their brand is standing out.

A Momo Supercar would look tops though.

The Garry Jacobsen car looks exactly the same as Bright's, yet looks so much better with sponsors filling up the gaps.

It was rhetorical, but the black wheels make the Jacobson car look better.

Just noticed that we're looking at twin 250km races this weekend. Very happy about this, definitely feel like long races suit these cars much better than the sprints.

Actually now that you mention it does sort of hark back to the HSVDT days, doesn't it?

So much better. I do like Bright's livery too but it is a little bit bland.
