Ok so I haven't watch the race but to me it looked like McLaughlin just got salty from the replays in the Supercars website. I don't think you can say SVG deserved it because they bump panels and stuff all the time he just did it at different time. McLaughlin also needed a larger penalty I feel. Should be a drive through.
Yeah but Scott received the exact same penalty as what Whincup was given for spinning cars at Bathurst. Can't complain, at last the officials have given the same penalty for the same offence for once

Yes because multiple cars were at fault unlike in this one where it was solely McLaughlins

I liked the time of day this race took place at.

Once they get the lights up there they should do a 2/300km race that runs from twilight into the dark.

SVG practically used Morse Code on Scottys door down the straight, even as he was moving to the right to get away from it, SVG kept doing it.

What I saw was Scotty tap him which carted him out wide just enough to get a nose in there, then SVG had to lift for some reason and that sent him around. Racing incident to me.

I just know, Skaife needs to change his name, to Harvey Dent.

No black flag for the #9 & 88. Its not like the Tander incident. Plus, there was so much fluid spewing in front of Coulthard. That was dangerous. Whincup even said he couldn't see. Stewards should have made the teams fix the bonnet.

The initial bump was fine but Scotty should have come out of the throttle. SVG had to come out so that he didn't spin himself

I don't think Giz got a big enough penalty from Spinning Reynolds at PI and taking Reynolds out of the C'hip. Yeah, that was in the past and this is now, but Giz has how many incidents of doing this, compared to Scott? For Skaife and Ingall to blast the decision by the Stewards, I'm more so, done with them two.

According to the rules, he didn't. Scott said there was miscommunication when the Safety Car peeled off. Giz just got the jump on him to the control line.
He jumped before the green flag, he's been given a 33 second penalty and Scott's penalty has been increased to 33 seconds total

Yeah, now after the review.

Giz" He got back on the throttle which is the worrying part..."

See video above... :irked:

 Na, he jumped it yesterday, not after the review (kidding). I already knew the result of the hearing when I made my earlier post;)

And I agree with the second part of your post:tup:

This guy... I think I'm more happy to see DJ with a smile on his face. Should be a good race today.

Better start for Caruso and Simona beats Blanchard again. Don't know what's going on with HRT.

I'm at a loss too mate... Why the weren't forced to repair the damage is a mystery to me.

Proably would have lost that many points with a PLP anyway. And if we are talking about
Sure SVG has had more 'incidents' in his time but thats his style on edge and pushing the limit and everyone makes mistakes.

LeBrocq is out. Contact at the start Stanaway leads!

Davies out as well.

Edit: Same kind of Safety Car restart. de Pesquale did like Gis and beat Stanaway to Turn 1.

Stanaway back in the lead!

The Nissans just shred whenever they have a tyre let go. Le Brocq at Phillip Island had almost identical damage.

The drivers definitely know how to control a tyre blowout now after the amount they've had to deal with this year.

Fabian is killing me. Argh! Pass him already!

Edit: Why couldn't Coulthard pull the trigger earlier? Scott would have followed him through. anyway, on to Sandown...

SVG just drove incredibly to stop him from doing that for as long as he did.

Yeah, as he said, slowed early for a better exit to the next corner. SVG pulled that pass on Scott, haven't seen any other driver do that. Was hoping Fabs would have. Intense battle.

One of my main issues with this series is that the drivers are not allowed to move others out of the way. So they get stuck behind and unable to do anything. Let them race.

Drivers were able to bump and run in the past. It's the nature of touring cars, but that's been done away with. I'd like to see it come back for the reason you mentioned.

However, as pissed off I was, all the drivers ran cleanly based on skill.

Jacobson won't be happy if Stanaway does get that seat.

I can Jacobson being the odd one out. Stanaway is too good.

Only concern at PRA should be if Lowndes decides that 2018 will be his last. I can see T8 looking at Stanaway as a replacement. (If they decide to continue as a three car operation, that is)

RD has three RECs at his disposal so, unless he receives an offer to good to refuse, he'll be running the third car.
All he has to do is pick one of several top-level candidates, subject to availability & source a sensible budget.

October 2018, will be plenty of time for those with RECs, to make up their minds. Remember, Blanchard has one as well.

Stanaway is too good.
I loved his attitude about attacking, because racing in Europe is "cut throat". I bet he won't take that Van Gisbergen nonsense next month.
