Cue the puns. Holdworth's "Old vs New" livery for Sandown.

I guess they'll be up against some stiff competition...

Michael Caruso goes for another international livery

I'd say Nissan has the got the hang of designing great liveries
CAN WE HAVE THESE FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR???? Holy **** these are the best retro paint jobs ever. I can't believe they're using the Calsonic colours for Caruso's car - easily be able to spot it. Sadly I don't think my dad will understand just how awesome it is:lol: Now if only the Holden Racing T- oh wait... It's the Red Bull Holden Racing Team. No way in hell will they have a 2001 HRT paint job for their cars. Hopefully HSV Racing does something. 1987 VL paint anyone?

Great to see Nissan paying tribute to some of their classic machinery from other series'. There's only so many Gibson Motorsport liveries that they can do.

Stab in the dark.
:scared:
Oh dear God! Say it isn't so about the stab in the dark.

Those Texaco cars, while appealing to some, are remembered 99.9% of the time, as the cars that cheated at Bathurst.

I don't want Lowndes associated with that in anyway at all.

It's probably not retro enough but, Ingall's 2005 livery would be nice. So too would Colin Bond's 1987 livery from the Alfa Romeo 75.

Please, please not the Texaco look :yuck:

Lowndes did that one already

I'd go with the Texaco livery. Can't find any black cars other than the "CAT" and green eyed monster.

A black Texaco livery could be pretty slick. Regardless of the past history of that livery, I'd be down for it.

Still dying to see a 2003 HRT retro livery. That was the car I drooled over as a child, so I'd love to see it reimagined on the newer cars.

No, that Caltex livery is the one Bond used in 1992 on the last of his Sierras.

The Alfa just has black on the top with the same Caltex along the side.

I can't see it being that different to the Sierra/Commodore livery. Unless Caltex paint the wheels red.

..but good point about the Texaco Sierra soiled history. Being that those cars were by a German team, could they look at their NASCAR history instead? Davey Allison and Montoya(I still have my Montoya polo) come to mind.

Yeah, another good point with the NASCAR link but, considering Texacos Australian history, it'll be linked to Bathurst '87 by most of the punters even if the team refer to it being a tribute to NASCAR.

I'll bet a serious sum that if you polled 100 Supercar fans, what they think of if you said the word "Texaco", most would quote the cheats at Bathurst.

The late Davey Allison. Only around a relatively short time but what an impact he made. 25 years ago this year.
What could've been huh.
