No Premier League Football this weekend as its the FA Cup, next Sunday however its Man United v Liverpool and the EFL Cup final with Man City and Chelsea.

Emiliano Sala's funeral will take place tomorrow in Argentina, Cardiff manager Neil Warnock and the Cardiff CEO will be the Cardiff contingent there.

I was literally just about to post that Celtic are playing Valencia off the pitch in their second leg Europa League match... and they get a man sent off after 36 minutes :ouch: Celtic are already 2-0 after a disastrous first leg defeat at home, so they are well and truly up against it tonight in the Mestalla stadium - but they have been by far the better team so far, but that red card is a crushing blow.

There are Premier League games on tomorrow night, so here are this weekends games.

Friday Night
Cardiff v Watford (7.45)
West Ham v Fulham (7.45 Sky)

Saturday
Bournemouth v Wolves
Burnley v Tottenham (12.30 Sky)
Leicester v Crystal Palace (5.30 BT)
Newcastle v Huddersfield

Sunday
Arsenal v Southampton (2.05)
Man United v Liverpool (2.05 Sky)
Carabao Cup Final
Man City v Chelsea (4.30 Sky)

Slightly reduced schedule because of the cup final, there are PL games in mid week next week.

Yes it will, the big game in mid week next week is Chelsea v Tottenham and next weekend there is two big derbies, Tottenham v Arsenal and Everton v Liverpool.

Chelsea have been banned from signing players for two transfer windows. It will be summer of 2020 before they can make any transfers into the team. This is due to a breach in FIFA rules over the signing of players under the age of 18.

Is it effective before this summmer window or they can stockpile even further? It would be very sad if they are limited to the 50ish players they have loaned out.

They are appealing the ruling but as of right now, the ban would be in effect for summer window 2019 and January 2020.

3 Goals 1 assist

650 goals and obviously celebrating that with his 50th Hattrick. Best ever.

Pochettino got into a verbal altercation with referee Mike Dean after the Spurs 2-1 loss to Burnley. Kind of out of character for him.

It wasn't just a verbal altercation, he squared up to Mike Dean at full time and he had to be separated from Dean by the assistants and his backroom staff, it was because Burnley got a corner that was clearly a goal kick and Burnley then took the lead from that corner, he could be in some trouble for it and it is very out of character for him.

For Spurs equaliser, Danny Rose took the throw in 10 yards further along from where the ball went out, so it shouldn't have counted either.

It's really difficult to referee a game where every single player on the park is trying to cheat or con you.

United 0-0 Liverpool at half time, first half was more like an episode of Holby City with United using all three subs in the first half, Mata, Lingard and Herrera all off injured and Lingard only lasted 15 mins after being subbed on for Mata, Firmino went off for Liverpool too with Sturridge coming on, Liverpool had most possession but United had best chance through Lingard.

Arsenal 2-0 up v Southampton and League Cup final is on later.

Azpilicueta is also a terrible captain. Doesn’t matter if you’re Terry, Lampard or Cahill: if you’re Chelsea captain, you tell Kepa to get the **** off the pitch. You don’t pretend to be invisible and let the team tear themselves apart.

I caught the Man U v. Liverpool match and that was an interesting 1st half. From the 2nd minute indirect free kick at the 12 yard line to the 4 subs due to injury it was very unusual. United held on but you have to ask why Liverpool weren't pressing more once the other side was out of subs and had only a gimpy center forward on. It also showed how desperate Ole needed to be before even thinking of bringing on Sanchez.

Here's the games for the next two nights.

Tuesday Night
Cardiff v Everton
Huddersfield v Wolves
Leicester v Brighton
Newcastle v Burnley (8pm BT)

Wednesday Night
Arsenal v Bournemouth
Chelsea v Tottenham (8pm BT)
Crystal Palace v Man United (8pm)
Liverpool v Watford (8pm)
Man City v West Ham (8pm)
Southampton v Fulham

Kick-off either 7.45 or 8pm.

Pochettino has been charged by the FA with improper conduct for his post match row with Mike Dean.

It seems to be less about Mike Deans refereeing performance and more the fact that he's a knob. Supposedly said something to Poch that wound him up.

The refs have mics so we may find out the details when they punish Poch.

The twit just loves to make it all about himself opposite to what a ref should do. Can always count on him for over the top decision, penalty/red card for a big team and theatrics.

Brendan Rodgers is set to quit Celtic to become the next Leicester manager.

Rodgers has been virtually unchallenged in the Scottish Premiership - to my knowledge, he has won every trophy he has contested thus far in Scotland, though European success has remained elusive.

Celtic are currently 8 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, but with 11 games left to play, it seems like a particularly inopportune moment to walk away from the club.

edit: My old drinking pal Neil looks like he might get the job!

Come off it. My cat could manage Celtic and they'd still win everything domestically and nothing in Europe.

This Rodgers to Leicester story has moved quick, it was only yesterday that Leicester were looking at someone to take over until the end of the season and then try to get Rodgers in the Summer, but Rodgers obviously wants the job now.

Edit, Full times from tonight.

Cardiff 0-3 Everton
Huddersfield 1-0 Wolves
Leicester 2-1 Brighton
Newcastle 2-0 Burnley

Leicester won in front of new manager Brendan Rodgers who was appointed an hour before kick-off, Huddersfield ended three months without a league win in the dying moments of the game.
