Looks like Conte will get it as reportedly a 18-month deal has been accepted, He was one of the many managers to turn the job down in the summer before they appointed Nuno during that debacle.

He should have been given time to turn things around 100%.
 
They did take out a loan last year I think when the stadiums were empty, they will now try to pay it off with player sales and things like NFL, Boxing and summer concerts being hosted there.
 
£100m for Cit£h for Kane would have paid a large proportion of that stadium off...

And there are a 40-50 teams around the World that are still in business, owned by millionaires, billionaires and countries. 🤔 🙄 Oh, and the economy of the World grinds to a halt. ;) 😄
 
Well, Spurs have already appointed Antonio Conte to take over, so they did at least have a plan with the sacking of Nuno.
 
Now he's going to raid Serie A for all the players on expiring contracts.

Conte to Spurs was officially announced at mid-day, 18-month deal.

Unai Emery has emerged as favourite to become Newcastle boss, it would be a fantastic appointment for them if he were to come in, very under-rated manager IMO.
 
Unai Emery won't be next Newcastle manager as he turned them down and will stay at Villareal.

Favre, Martinez, Howe and Fonseca said to be on Newcastle's list.

Eddie Howe has a agreed a two-year deal to become Newcastle manager, he could take charge of tomorrows game v Brighton, decent appointment IMO.

Massive game for United and Ole tomorrow.

International break after this weekend, but after that there is no more breaks until March.

Man United beat Spurs and Spurs still win.
 
United 0-2 City.

Bailly own goal and Bernardo Silva in the first half, defending from Maguire and Shaw for the Silva goal was terrible and De Gea wasn't much better, United did next to nothing, one good chance for Ronaldo and that was it, training session for City who didn't make a sub and didn't get out of second gear, United out-classed and out-fought.

It was probably one of those "he's getting sacked either way" situations and of all the rotten luck, it happened to be after a win. Feel a bit sorry for Farke, he did very well with Norwich in many ways but just can't find that missing piece to keep them stable in the top flight. Last year, Norwich were simply brilliant in the Championship so it's strange how they are by far the weakest of the promoted teams.
 
Five defeats in a row sees Dean Smith get the sack at Villa, did a great job there so maybe he should have been given time to turn it around.

Five Premier League managers sacked this season already, and we are 11 games in...

West Ham 3-2 Liverpool

Liverpool unbeaten league run is over, Alisson nightmare afternoon started with him flapping at a corner which was checked for Ogbonna foul which wasn't a foul, it went down as an Alisson own goal after the ball came off his arm, Trent scored a fantastic free kick to make it 1-1 at the break, Fornals finished off a great counter attacking goal which went under Alisson and Zouma scored from another corner, Origi made it 3-2 late on but Liverpool couldn't get the equalizer, West Ham fully deserve the win.

Quite a feisty game between Arsenal and Watford, Smith Rowe with the second half goal which has caused a row, Watford player went down injured so Danny Rose kicked the ball out of play, Arsenal then didn't give the ball back and scored from that move, there was also a foul on a Watford player during that build up which wasn't given, Arsenal had most possession and chances but Watford did well to restrict them to the one goal, Kucka was sent off for two yellows, Ranieri had words with Arteta at full time about the goal then complained about lack of respect afterwards.

Not much happened elsewhere, Raphinha and Harvey Barnes with the goals in the Leeds-Leicester game and the Barnes goal was a great strike, Spurs didn't have a shot on target in Conte first league game in charge, Everton had Holgate sent off for a bad tackle.

International break starts now.

The logic being he had a similar meeting after the Liverpool loss giving him 3 games to turn it around. It clearly hasn’t turned around. That said, the board are largely clueless so who knows what will actually happen.
