Not guaranteed. The 49ers, Giants and Jets all play in locations that do not represent their stadium's address.
Probably, but the way everyone seems to be talking it sounds like they're planning to cut ties with Missouri entirely. But knowing how these stadium deals tend to go, it'll probably take 10+ years to get that new stadium built and the Chiefs will be paying out of their noses for a year-by-year interim to stay where they are now.

I’ve never understood American cities spending hundreds of millions of public money to build something for a private business owned by a billionaire. I must be too European and communist.
It's bragging rights, it's full of lies and kickbacks, and usually everyone talking is getting something out of it, usually to the detriment of the communities involved. Probably some blackmail involved as well.

At the same time... I can look at the rabid support of the Cowboys locally despite the results and it's easy to see why... because they know they can.

LATER EDIT: I did look, and this is the continuation of the Kansas side's drive to increase it's sports presence. I believe the Hunt family owns Sporting KC as well, and the new stadium is in the same area as SKC and Kansas Speedway. I recall this being a conversation back when the Speedway was recently opened.

So since the Lions seem to have packed up early for the season, that means if the Packers lose to Baltimore, then Chicago will clinch the divison.

And I know Green Bay are just as shredded now, especially with Love sitting out this week with a concussion, but... am I really pinning my hopes on the Ravens to keep the Packers from taking the division? So that Chicago can have it??

I keep up with sports in general, I have a couple of YT channels for the NFL, and there are two things that come to mind this season: 1) I am actually glad I got out of fandom years ago because 2) only the die-hards can spin anything in this season. The rest of the fans are likely broken (either sad as usual or insufferable while laughing like the Joker), and many outside the fandoms will probably dismiss it all as rigged, heavily manipulated, or scripted... the things anti-sports people screamed about through my entire childhood.

I do hope everyone had a good holiday regardless of sports, but damn it seems impossible to try and get back into this league right now.

Ok Steelers. I know we have the usual extensive injured list and the moron suspended, but surely we can beat the Browns. Please please please don’t let this come down to a week 17 slobberknocker against the Ravens. My nerves can’t handle that.

So just about everything that I cared about this season either did or didn't happen by now, so that means there's just one thing left...

Missed opportunity with the Dolphins currently leading against the Bucs. But this Seattle defence is legit. They've completely shutdown anything down field for the Panthers today. Not going to beat many teams with check downs.

Browns victory means the Jets will have immense interest in a Giants win.

I hate that I know my team so well

Looks like the Giants are trying to play their way out of the #1 pick.
Pretty much. Our franchise 'never plays to lose'. It just tends to end up that way, naturally  I figured we would win big today after hearing 'The Condor' wasn't playing. I still see Geno as just a backup, maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

To be fair, Dart has actual skill and the Raiders' lineup is made of fossilized skeletons, so that went kind of how I expected. Odds are they're going to trade that #1 pick away for another pile of mediocre talent as phase 624 of their "rebuilding" plan (instead of, y'know, getting a replacement for Geno Smith or something else actually smart).

Another year in 9-8 purgatory, another year of Mike Tomlin barely hanging onto a job he really shouldn't be allowed to keep. The Standard is eternal.

Okay, there's still a pretty good chance the Ravens will throw it away next week, but if that happens then it'll be mistaken for improvement and Tomlin will have even more leverage to hold his position, so I dunno if that's really a good thing now.

If the Falcons can finish the Rams off and beat the Saints next week, and if the Bucs beat the Panthers. The NFC South will end in the three way tie. With the Panthers I think owning the tie breaker? 👀

Bonkers. I've always wanted to see something like that happen. How would the Panthers win the tie, more conference wins?

Congrats, @Joey D. I'm still regretting not playing Tee Higgins last week. Glad you one won it and not one of the randoms. 👍

Yeah, would assume its due to the Panthers sweeping the Falcons and having the better record against the other South teams? Its crazy. Only the NFC South could end this way.

So the Diggs family had a bad day yesterday. Stefan is under investigation for strangulation and misdemeanor assault and Trevon was cut by the Cowboys.

Don't want to sound like I'm whining because the Panthers haven't done themselves many favours, with the interception before halftime and the missed FG. But ripping a helmet off someone isn't a penalty but getting tripped up with a receiver is pass interference?

Absolute BS officiating.

Edit: Oh well, go Atlanta.

You aren't wrong. I'm pretty sure that was one of the worst PI calls I've ever witnessed, SMH.

The boss says I have to root for Seattle tonight and I'm like, "I always root for Seattle twice a year." She wasn't impressed, but god forbid I reminder she is a Bills fan 🙄

Giants win...yay? Yay for a less appealing draft pick to trade?

This was the back of sports page in NY

This has probably been one of the worst stretches of bad football in NY that I can remember. I have been a fan since the early eighties so I have seen tooooooo much bad football in my life and this has been horrible this year. Oh well go Knicks!

I find that equal parts sad and funny. Is that even allowed? 🤷‍♂️

Prime Belichick and Brady wouldn't be able to save this Jets team. Woody would probably say Tom's Madden rating isn't good enough for him to be the starting QB.

Side note- being major market teams are one of the "advantages" both the Jets and Giants have. Both teams can be straight trash and people will still care about them just because they represent NYC. Everyone else however loses being stuck watching them be ass unless they play their supported team. But the league would certainly be for the better if at least one of the teams was mediocre.

Downside to winning the division is getting the first-place schedule for next season. Facing both the Seattle and Broncos defense's is going to be brutal. 💀
