When was the last time a driver from a team other than T8 or DJR won three races in a row? Did Kostecki win three? I can't recall.

Yeah, I feel for Woody. He has been pretty unlucky this year but it’s been exciting to see his pace improve over the year. I am looking forward to him being a bit of an annoyance for the remaining finalists.
Yeah, think there is a fair argument that prior the finals. Wood had outperformed Mostert over the back half of the season. It'll be interesting to see how he adapts to the Supra.

And I guess they made up for it with signing Rylan Gray but I'll never understand why DJR let Kai Allen walk. Unbelievable what he's been able to do in his first year.

You’ll have to cast your mind all the way back to the beginning of the season - Cam Waters, at SMP.

Well, that's embarrassing.

Kostecki, van Gisbergen and Heimgartner are co-driving in the Logitech G Pro Invitational Bathurst 1000 on iRacing, the former two cars are currently running 1-2. There’s a few cool retro liveries too, the real Supercars teams need to take note.

There’s no sign of the rain clearing up here and, in fact, it just got a little heavier over here in the west of the city. If the race goes ahead, it’s going to be dicey.

The delay will help folks getting home from work to be able to watch, as long as it doesn't get so delayed that it gets cut cause of time, which is always a chance with these schedules.

I really like the idea of a Friday night sprint before the big street events like we've had at Adelaide and Townsville. They just need to fine tune the timing a little better to suit the audiences on a work day, it needs to always be pretty much a twilight race, rather than late afternoon.

I hadn’t actually considered your point until earlier in the afternoon. Like you said, good idea but needs refining. Maybe the SA Government could invest in some lighting and shift the race into the night.

Shame about the way it ended up, as soon as they showed a replay of the wall moving back so far, it was inevitable.

Was crazy how sudden the late race rain hit. They were showing the dry line at turn 8 and 9, then the next time by it was nonexistent.

It’s funny, just as they were discussing the prospect of putting on slick tyres, the rain began to bucket down where I am and moving in the track’s direction.

No way (for my own selfish reasons)!

In future yes, but if it had been run later yesterday I might've been late for the Tool concert 🤘:sly:;)

Edit: I'm not sure how I feel about this 'handing points out when only half the field had pitted' business, especially as the 75% threshold was never reached. :odd: The more I think about it the more I dislike it.

Edit 2: I was just thinking about the legal challenge Triple 8 will mount if Broc gets beaten to the championship by Chaz by a couple of points :indiff:

My thinking is that the only way Supercars get the Grand Final product they’ve envisioned is if points are handed out for each race — if that doesn’t happen, then the whole concept fighting until the very last lap could easily fall apart.

Hope classic WAU reliability issues haven't robbed us of a grandstand final race tomorrow. 12th for Mostert isn't ideal. Long race ahead tho, obviously.

And where has that pace from Aaron Cameron come from? Awesome for him and BRT.

Edit: Broc half a second ahead of everyone. Yep, call it now.

Mostert is giving me a heart attack.
That was some proper old school Allan Grice "win it or bin it" mentality from Chaz yesterday. Thought for sure it was game over when he made contact with Randle on the front straight and glanced off the wall.

And was nice to actually be able to hear team radios on the broadcast instead of having Skaife and Crompo talk over them like they normally do. Hopefully that stays on for next year and isn't just a thing for this weekend.

Oof. I want Mostert to win this, so I might be bias, but that looked like Feeney squeezing a bit too hard. He should have just let Wood go by, his fight is with Mostert.

Wood was in there, Feeney squeezed him and the ricochet from the wall took him out. Total BS call on that penalty.

Was tricky, Woods aggression was dicey and just bordering on dirty when the whole picture is considered imo. Feeney didn't help himself one bit though, feel like he panicked.

The wind is really picking up here, with an ominous looking cloud making its way over my house and towards the track.
