If done legally, as in only driving forwards from the start line on the max speed test and keeping all four wheels on planet Earth, the speed would net him 14th at Racing-Line.

Not bad.

Well, if you want to get picky, the test curse is no where on the planet earth.:trouble:

Still, I find it amazing that those speed are possible.

It is totally legal...I've actually hit 331.9mph but can't prove it because you can't save Max speed replays....but still..only 14th...wow
Whats the record 340

At Racing-Line it's listed as 546.70km/h - that's 339.78mph in real life, but I believe GT3 uses a 1.6 conversion factor, so you'd have to hit 341.69mph in the game.

So good guess! :D

can you post your escudo set up..

i would love to see that in person.

 how do you know all this stuff?

Magic, "The Big Book of Nolidge" and the internet... :D

http://www.racing-line.org/gt3/ - click on "Course Records". Bear in mind Racing-Line's policy is free run only (or machine test for top speed), ZERO contact (running correct way only for top speed).

Post the setup? nah..I'm sorry...it's just when I spent a good hour or two doing this it was hard work. I only made 3 attempts. First was 331mph...2nd was 325mph..and 3rd was 327mph...if you mess around with settings you'll find out how to attain such high speeds...just become a GT fanatic...you know...one that plays GT3 4,5 and 6 hours a day...I remember one time I was trying to break a world record in a Castrol Tom's Supra...I tried for hours and days to break it. Devoted all my time to setting the car up perfectly. After all that.. I got second........ Still pretty good, what I'm trying to say is...just keep trying..make it your goal to break this record. Somehow you'll find the right settings. I promise. good day:D

1989therat made a thread about this something like a year ago. But I don't know how to post a link to another thread.

I responded that my fastest speed was 336.2 mph without the wheelie or gamesharking. However, I did use a little trick. If you do a burnout, the speed will go WAY up as long as the tires are still spinning. Roast the tires & you'll get incredible speeds. But as soon as the tires begin to grip again, the speeds come down.

Also, if you use the E-brake, you can rev the engine like you're holding in the clutch. Let go of the brake, and it's like popping the clutch. With this you can roast the tires anywhere on the track. Not just at the starting line.

Is that cheating? Where would that put me at Racing-Line?

The only stipulation for maximum speed test times at Racing-Line is no contact and forward driving only. So no, it's not cheating.

336.2mph = 540.95mph = 4th

4th place?

Hell yeah!

Too bad I can't prove it!
