Yes I actually remember driving through somebody, thought he had got a penalty..not sure if it was the exact incident though..

your GVE race was pretty tight 👍

Did you see the pics I posted? That was your car hitting me.

Ok, ask and ye shall receive.

Turn 1, you nudge me out of the way. Contact like that is fine when its by accident...but not when you gain a position over it. Overall, it was a very messy start.

At the top of the hill dabney gets pushed off the track.

At Tsukuba, you hit dabney twice on the first lap. 2nd time sends him flying off the track (again, not sure if he even appeared on your track)

At Laguna, you manage to push two cars off the track exiting turn 1, and then while passing Dabney and Bowtie some crazy stuff starts happening to your throttle.

It was me and wiifreak Cenk took out at laguna.
I dont know if it was lag or not.
I just wish people would stop trying to make a pass in the first corner all the time.

Without the replay from cenk himself, we dont really know what he saw.
In chuyler's videos, it seems that when cenk hits someone, his car slows. But we know that replays are not the actual video of what happened, but a representation of what happened. Since all of the cars are on the track in these videos, they are going to react to each other.
So, if cenk actually saw these cars and made these passes, then he has some work to do on proper passing techniques.
And yes... I too wish people would take it easier on the first few corners. I always lose positions because i am trying to be careful, and usually get pushed out of the way.
(In the 3rd video at leguna... the pass of BTK seems very strange. Like the ps3 is trying to figure out why 2 cars are in the same place)

I have a practice room if anyone wants to practice some.

Thanks Chuy !

Turn 1, I did not expect you to be that aggressive on the brakes, couldnt avoid contact. But as I said, gave you a whole car gap instead of drifting towards the burm and throwing you out onto the sand. I managed to give you and the golden mr2 enough space. Missed my braking point big time entering the tunnel, I remember not being able to clearly see it..Sorry, was the 1st time I ran this track, and my fastest lap was either lap 7 or 8.

I totally was ruthless towards dabneyd, apoligies :) I should have let off the throttle probably..You were offline when you entered the left hander, which put you at a bad spot for the right hander. My line was pretty good, but I didnt expect to gain on you that quickly. I was actually getting ready to pass you after the kink on your right.

A worse start at Tsukuba ! I should have been more patient at turn 1, agreed ! The steering wheel acted up after I spun out. Notice the corrections I'm making, it was pulling to the left. Rear ended leaderbdr into the hairpin a bit as it pulled crazy to the left, then I pulled to the right lol. Last corner, dabneyd probably didnt see me and closed into my line. I was off throttle, so he shouldnt have had much of shake there. He didnt get back on throttle after the hit, but I did :) That should be %50-50 there, not entirely my fault imo.

Laguna Seca start looks agressive, but I cant say I did anything too offensive. Watch 0.33sec and see the miata trying to do the pit maneuver on me. Btw at 1.11, I dont know how I got around him without touching him lol. You probably saw me pitting in lap 2 :( technical difficulties..

PS, in tsukuba video, I had to pause, and listen for a cat miaw in my room lol

Cenk - My only problem with you was at cape ring and tsukuba.

I dont know if you were lagging or not, but there were a few times at cape ring you came flying into a corner with zero attempts at braking.

You did seem to clean it up after laguna though.

Im hosting tonight so come by and give it another try. Just keep it clean and a little less aggressive into the first few turns.

By the way tonight is Toyota Tuesday. Any Toyota except for the two ft 86 concepts.

Maybe Nic learned his lesson with that one.
just wish people in general would be more selective about where....
No!...I usually play smoother...I was so underpowered the only place I was faster is in the corners.Like we saw in the past (Fast corner/slow straight) = potential problems 👎. It's AYC btw. :sly:

Cenk, please read through the GTP OLR linked in the first post. I had to brake at Grand Valley because the car in Front of me braked. After a few starts with us you'll realize there is quite a bit of bottlenecking on the first few turns so you have to be ready to brake extremely early. If you are light on the brakes you'll have no trouble braking ealier and still staying on someone's bumper. As for Tsukuba, its the same situation...Dabney had to lift off because of the car in front of him. I see you werent in the throttle, but when that happens, follow the rules and wait for the driver to get back on the track.

So what are you guys using tonight? I'm gonna be trying out an MR-2 G-Limited and a 2000GT.

no attemp to brake is probably my screen going black.. apoligies for those incidents.

Thanks for the invite tonite, my bulb should be coming in tomoro, I don't want to get adjusted to the small screen for just a day. Want to join you guys at the ring.

I will definitely get used to the events 👍 and we will have nice runs !

You were going faster because you were driving a line as if there was no one else on the track. Yeah, you can run the absolute fastest line, but you're going to hit everyone, like you did. Try to drive as if you were driving your car. Would you hit anything?

I appreciate the apology, however.

Pretty dirty night tonight.

At Laguna Seca I got punted off at the corkscrew by either Osprey or C_Johnson or both. It was actually pretty hard to tell by the replay. Neither wanted to own up to it.

At Deep Forest Reverse, bendoverpunjabi came from behind right into my line and we stayed side by side through the tunnel, he turned in on me and nearly pitted himself but had the gall to blame me. This probably bugged me the most because he was like 2 car lengths behind going into the uphill right hander before the tunnel and just drove his way inside without any respect for my line and when I was inside he blamed me when he paid no attention to my line for the second time.

@Bones brigade // He probably misread the game title... GRAN TURISMO 5 /// /// The Real Diving Simulator 👍

Laguna Seca was pretty dirty. I got punted off first corner as if they didn't even brake. Then on the straight befpre the last hairpin, somehow I got pushed of again. All of this happened in the first lap. Other than that it was a decent night for me.

I don't see my name up there in the complaints so I'm pretty happy about that. iForce had a real good run at Autumn Ring Reverse with the LFA which was a legal car last night, but if there are more Toyota nights, I'd suggest adding the LFA in with the FT86's and banning it because there's no way any other car is going to keep up to it. I got in some near perfect qualifying laps and iForce was 2 seconds clear of me. He's good...lol...but not that good.

Isn't the LFA a Lexus? I know Lexus is made by Toyota...but on Toyota Tuesday I would expect drivers to pick an actual Toyota. Plus the LFA is like 550pp isn't it?

.

I am trying to recall the incident but I can't. Not saying it wasn't me or it didn't happen.. just not sure. If you were on mic, I didn't hear you. If it was hard to tell by the replay, mayhaps it was one of those racing incidents where 3 cars battling for a spot got into each other.

I do know that I got into someone on the right-hander following the left after the corkscrew but I slowed and let them keep the position (albeit slowing them down. Sry). I think the Tacoma was the fastest vehicle on the track and I shoulda won Laguna but a few errors like that on my part screwed me.

The LFA is a Lexus but we were allowed to run Lexus's or Lexi as the case may be, just not the FT86's, which were about a second faster than anything else I had in tuning just before the race. Not a big deal, just something to correct the next time. Was a good variety of cars all night. I had a couple of good runs in my Vitz as well which was fun. The PP system gives you lots of HP in the Vitz for it's weight and it corners well for a FWD if you can tune it.

What was your qual time?I think i did 1:25.2 and and ran a 24.6 in the race.I just ran 4 laps in that blue MR-S and ran a 1:25.3.

Then on the straight befpre the last hairpin, somehow I got pushed of again.

That one was pretty funny. You were on the inside of the right after Rainey Curve with two cars on the outside (two wide, the outside cars were nose to tail), then on the straight before the last left onto the front straight the three of you go three wide. Half way down the straight you slam into the middle car which slams into the car on the left, which corrects itself but gets into the car in the middle which contacts you and sends you off into the weeds.

It looked kind of like this.

I was about 2 seconds behind, don't recall the exact time. I was in the Vitz but I got the pole at DF Reverse with the car so it's pretty fast. You just pulled away on the straights like I was standing still. Me personally I don't care if it's in or not, I have one so I can race it, but if it really is that much faster, it won't be much fun if it's the same car winning every race. Maybe it was a bad Q session and the car is pretty equal...just didn't seem that way.

The MR-S is a very fast car. Very few 450pp cars can compete with it. I haven't driven the LFA though.

I never touched a car on the straight. At least on my screen. I was going down the straight and the next thing I know, I'm in the grass.

Never thought of this until now, but in the last couple of races, I saw only 6-8 drivers on the track racing but when I went back to the lobby after the race, I saw 14-15 people there. Same thing happened last time where everything was fine from my perspective and then the last couple of races, all of a sudden I couldn't see half the field. It's possible half of the people in the lobby weren't racing, wondering if anyone else has the same issue.

This has been an ongoing discussion about the network bugs in the game. Johnny, you may have to clear your cache and/or reset your modem and router.
