Tonight we'll do the "celebrity" theme that was suggested. Unless you want to do keicars instead. Whatever the case, I won't make it. Wife is away until Tuesday and I've been working building a set of speaker cabinets after work. Hoping to finish up tonight.

Tuesday I might make it, but I'm not sure yet. Have to pick up the wife at the airport and depending on how tired she is, she may want to stay up. Someone suggested doing a "summer sucks" night so changed it to "seatle night" and since its always rainy in seatle, all the tracks should be run with rain on fixed. Try sport soft tires but if there isn't enough grip you can switch it to rain tires.

Since everyone ran the FT-86, I changed one-make night to the RX-8. I know there are a few tunes on the board for this car so I"m curious to see whether people can run them competitively against some of people's private tunes.
 
Finally, a time that I can use my Vanishing Point Challenger
 
The question is whether it can keep up with the Mazda RX-8 from "X-Men". IIRC, the RX-8 appeared in the film before it was released. Of course, if you want to be a stickler, it'll have to be the RX-8 Concept (Type-II) '01 and not the '03 or '07.

And then there is James Bond's Lotus which I know is quick on 80's night.

NO! I'm an underage driver and your not sticking us with some crappy FF car. How about the Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection (S13) '90. It's cheap and rear wheel drive. And the BMW Z4 could be a "rich kid's" first car. To be a "rich kid" in game, you should have over 15million Cr.

What to run something classic from Bullitt, Cannonball Run or Dukes of Hazard or something newer from XXX, Fast and Furious, or K.I.T.T. from the last Knight Rider.

My dad drives a jeep cherokee, forgot what year but it's the older one. My mom drives a toyota solara convertible. Forgot what year it is also but it's the newer one.

I figured that out last night :) only a couple of people came in. They said they hated the car too ! understeers badly actually, pretty hard to tune. I was able to lap 1:35s at laguna seca and trial mountain after some tweaking.

Movie car night. That rocks. I probably won't make it, but someone should document in here all the movie cars that made it.

For some reason, this Esprit comes to mind.

It really needs to be in a lobby, because a public room would be a free for all. Otherwise, might as well just have an open 450pp night and leave it at that.

I didn't see anyone on last night, so I just turned off my PS3, and went to watch Gone in 60 Seconds. (The original/The Better one)
 
we had 6-8 people in dabneys room, then everyone disappeared
 
Next time just host it in my lounge, then everyone can get in who is on my friend list....i prolly should have mentioned that yesterday, but you can do the same tonight if i dont get on before 9:30.

I had to drop out, but I didn't think that everyone else would as well. It should have kept running, right?

I had an original Eleanor to run last night. Private lounge; not a friend :(
 
In some games, there is the option to switch from private to public if you are having trouble filling slots on your team. I wish you could do that with GT. Run in a private lobby for a few races then go public to fill it up.

It didn't. Everyone dropped out during the "vote" so it froze up and locked 3 of us in there. We had to exit and that was the end of it as none of us were on each others friend lists so it just fell apart. I opened up a public "450pp street clean" room and had some good racing for a couple of hours with a few randoms.

It is in the thread title: EDT, Eastern Daylight Time.

It really should be Eastern US, to avoid confusion with other Eastern time zones, such as Eastern Australia. But, that's what the world gets for not slapping the US down sooner.

I'm going to try my luck with a 600pp SuperGT series tonight...so if I'm on, it won't be for 450pp. I'll see how I do on this practice night. If it's too much car, I'll just go back to the 450s.
