If it's there why not use it? Yes I'll admit that taking out the brake indicators at Laguna is wrong, but it's the fastest line. Worth atleast 2 or 3 tenths, as for Nurb GP/F. What's the issue? It for one is harder on my tires, and two Is not any faster, the only reason I can pass through there is because people are late braking and overshooting the corner. There are no brake indicators through there and I'm simply straightening out my entry into the next corner. You can't call it a shortcut, if I take a longer path to apex the corner.

I'm sending you the instructional videos now so this never happens again.

Dammit, that Schumacher video your brother gave me that taught me that line must have been a fake. I'LL GET YOU CUJO!

These Shop-Vac powered RX's could use a PP bump to 460-465.The 8's are not bad @ 450 but the 7's have some ugly looking power bands bone stock.

Haha, good luck with those. I got an éfini RX-7 and it was very tail happy. Now I know why they are good drift cars. I won't be making it tonight though, gonna give my PS3 a break.

try the FC or early FDs. I agree the Spirit Rs power band looks poopy after you get it down to 450.

I found a efini Type R-S '95 in my garage and its terrible compared to my Bathurst R and a Type RZ '00.It must have smaller tires because it has no grip at all compared to the the other two which are pretty equal. The only FC i have is a '85 Savanna GT Limited and i know that car sucks already.

I've run 2 RX-8's and 3 FD's and the lap times are within .5 sec so its not that much of a difference but the RX-8 is the best at every track i have tried.

if i show up tonite, i will run the 90 FC and 91 FD (both premiums) be interesting to see how they fare against the RX8. dont own an rx8.

the 91 fd did take a fair amount of tuning to be grippy

I'll try a white FD Bone stock suspension.I don't know how it will do against tuned one.

Use less steering input and more throttle input in all your turns. As the car begins to oversteer, you will feel the wheel lighten up. Lightly pull the wheel in the opposite direction to countersteer. Don't go more than 10 degrees beyond your intended direction of travel. Don't ever lift off the throttle once you start oversteering. In fact, sometimes you want to apply more throttle to shift the weight rearward and plant the rear end. if you must lift off the throttle, do so very gently while you countersteer. Fight the wheel the entire time by turning it against the pressure. Once you feel the pressure release in a certain direction don't let it continue, switch to the other direction or straighten the wheel out.

The Camaro with worn tires was quite a challenge. The corkscrew was dangerous. In some cars you can dive right in but you had to keep all 4 wheels off the right side rumble strips to avoid crashing down on the pavement and sending the car into a spin. Nothing you can do there except massive countersteer and hope it comes back around.

Rainey curve after the corkscrew was a little more manageable but still a bit scary. I trailed the brake until I saw an easy line through the late apex. Then I eased into the throttle. Worked great until the last lap where I tried to squeeze more time out of the turn and ended up spinning into the gravel.

Theres my problem. Time to go and practice this new method and see if i can master it. I have a tendency to lift when i feel oversteer. Yeah that camaro was quite a handfull. I was actually competetive for the first two laps until i lost it and fell way back. Of well......Next time!!

Ill host I guess. I think I have most the people that race on friends list. Otherwise, send a req.

Still racing if any of you lemons morons care to join....

Because neither are legal or faster lines in real life. The same applies to Fuji. The run-offs are for safety, not for exploiting. They'd be covered with gumbals and driving through it would send your car into a flying spinout if you were full on the throttle.

The GTP OLR has guidelines on what is considered proper lines. Everyone else in the room races these tracks as they were intended so it disrupts the racing to have your car flying off the track then coming back in at a higher speed...all in the name of a few 10ths which will just be made back by drafting.

You're a fast driver, one of the fastest in the room...so you don't even need these exploits to drive fast.

my comfort soft room will be open tonight. everyone is welcome

Meh, shoddy lines don't bother me nearly as much as using me as a brake or racing for position at any cost versus the line. If he's not getting assessed a penalty in game then don't see an issue really other than being outside the norms people are used to. And I have to say I'm quite surprised you guys rely so much on the brake markers in the first place.

I don't need the markers...I just don't appreciate it when I take a wide line, and someone goes wider than me by driving on the other side of the white line.

I try to follow the gtp olr as best I can...I just expect others to do the same.

Got disconnected from the psn. Then I couldnt join ospreys room again. Kept giving me the network incompatible error. I fixed it earlier by reseting my router, but I didn't want to do it again.

Oh well, i was sucking anyways.

And i was amazed at just how sucky my Evo IV was.

Ah, new seasonals up! yay!

Don't see anyone else get the boot out of psn though. Funny.

Been busy the last 4 days, so i havent been able to race with you guys but will try to make it. Tonight's Samba race will be my first for the van.
will do a quick tune and hopefully be sucessful catching all your drafts!!!

got to check these new Seasonals! 👍

For the first race, I suggest focusing on transmission tuning for top speed. The draft will get you going faster though, so picking the right gearing is going to be somewhat of a guessing game unless we run a trial race before the big 10 lapper.

I'm definitely going to come out tonight for Samba Bus night. The bus is really fun to drive, and a full grid of them should be exciting to say the least

I don't know how many races I will last. I may duck out to do some Lemons testing.

can someone offer me a link to a starter tune for the bus? or just post their initial tune here... im lost!!! 💡

Edit: nevermind mind i find one.... :)

i haven't touched the suspension or installed the LSD. At Daytona for the first race, it'll be about tuning the transmission and that's about it. install all the parts and you still won't be at 450pp. In fact, I should probably b-spec my car before tonight's race since mine is brandy-new.

Has anybody looked at the numbers for the ride height setting yet? All I can think of is a fully raised monster bus.

That's pretty funny...and that thing would scare the crap out of me on the track IRL...

...but I doubt there is much original Type2 in that thing aside from the shell.
