1:52 -- You are center on the track, leaning toward the left
1:54 -- I attempt a move to the right side of the track
1:55 -- You move right leaving me no room to pass on the right
1:56 -- I correct my line and go left
1:58 -- I am along side you and you turn left.
2:00 -- I leave you plenty of room on the right to continue alongside me as we approach the hairpin.
Not sure what you thought I was going to do, but if you block the outside, i'm gonna go inside...plain and simple. If you want to turn in on me after I've established overlap, that's on you. Although the track has a slight bend in it, cars (or vans) can still run 2-wide and that's what I was expecting you to do. No racer would ever turn in on a car that has that much of a jump on them. If you didn't see me (aka using a view that doesn't have a rearview mirror) I can see how it may have looked worse...but that's still not my problem.
Watch Nic and I later in the race. We have no problems draft passing one another. On the next lap he makes the exact same move. I don't hit him because I knew he was there. Who cares who is in the lead, it just gives you a chance to make another pass attempt...hopefully one that isn't construed as malicious.
The draft in this game is highly unfair to the lead car...but its something you've got to learn to work with. Practice following closely so you make the most of it...and make your passes clean instead of divebombing and pushing others off the track.
