yes i think so,i was way behind you and still managed improving my time at the finish,no tune from anyone just played around with it,im going to try otaliema tune next

Yeah I do not use the manual gearbox, I guess you'll have the most time picks up there, I tried but just can not. I'm happy when I'm in the 1:08.

Tried your set,nice set.With this one a 1:08.8xx is really fast.
Possible the springs are alittle hard so you have possible problems to
control the popo of the car. 150 85 right high would help too.

I love it when this happens. It's great to have a TT where the best car isn't an obvious choice. The Toyota got me into the 1:08s (just) and top 100 (that won't last long once everyone else jumps on the bandwaggon), half a second quicker than I could manage in the Audi. Used @Otaliema's tune with @Strachi's suggested changes. Works a treat.

Awesome. Glad it's working well, I'll get there and soften it up later. Maybe tonight maybe in the morning.
 
Finally a Gold thanks once again to @shaunm80 for a great tune. I took me about 10 laps before I got it. What I don't understand is I was running 1:13's in Free Run with the same car and tune. Won and done. @shaunm80 you have got the touch.👍👍👍 I have no desire to run this again.

Wow. Finally got Gold after many attempts.
Used the Quattro S1 Rally Car '86 with Hall90's tune.
Tried other guy's tunes and cars including the RSC Rally Raid Car but Hall90's Quattro tune was the one that eventually won the Gold for me. Go me!!! *Does the happy dance*

The slower lap time is due to the 40% wet surface. That's why CS tires are king this challenge, more grooves to channel the water away.
 
Some tuning netted me a 1:09.4xx with the Toyota for a top 200. Did about 30 more laps tuning it. Certainly has more steering than the Quattro and it's a bit lighter.

Now to try the rally car that's even lighter at 890kg and needs a detune to qualify.

the track is wet. 40%. maybe thats the difference.

As promised a softer RSC Rally Raid Car
It's go so much grip it's slower than the other one. So it's great if you can't quite control the harder one or just want to get in get it done and get out. I was lapping 1:09.3xx all day. It just can't hold the line needed for 1:08's it understeers away.

Just tried out the tune, found it much easier to drive than your 'harder' version, but found it slower than the one I was already using - took the ballast off, and promptly beat my best time by 0.5 seconds!

This tune gets me up the hill faster, probably due to better entry speed at the bottom.

Thanks Otaliema for sharing - you got me up to p145, with probably more to come!

Awesome to hear. Yeah the ballast is there for stability. I should prolly note on both the tunes to remove to go faster.

As per usual, people need to adjust tunes slightly to suit their own driving style - I prefer quite neutral handling, and strangely I actually found it more stable without the ballast!

Yeah it naturally understeers due to the split. So with the set up taking ballast off makes it a tad harder to turn and a little but faster. It really must suit you to have gained half a second 👍
